Oh yeah, BTW, as of Early 2003, the following is the order in terms of popularity of the major kid/animation channels.

  1. Cartoon Network
  2. Disney Channel
  3. Fox Family
  4. Nickelodeon
  5. Animax
  6. Universal Kids
At this point, Cartoon Network is still airing all of their originals and the network is largely the same as around this time period in our world, but here, Toonami remains a three-hour block. This is the block's new schedule starting on March 17th ITTL:

4:00PM: Reboot
4:30PM: G Gundam
5:00PM: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
5:30PM: Dragon Ball Z
6:00PM: Yu Yu Hakusho
6:30PM: Desert Wrath

And Toonami will begin airing on Saturday nights starting March 15th from 7PM until 2AM with this schedule:

7:00PM: Dragon Ball
7:30PM: Yu-Gi-Oh!
8:00PM: Legend of the Mystical Ninja
8:30PM: The Zeta Project
9:00PM: Reboot: Critical Saviors
9:30PM: Samurai Jack
10:00PM: Justice League
11:00PM: .hack//SIGN
11:30PM: G Gundam
12:00AM: Batman: The Animated Series
12:30AM: Superman: The Animated Series
1:00AM: ThunderCats
1:30AM: Superfriends

As for Adult Swim, it's still rising as in OTL, even with Futurama and Family Guy, but in terms of anime, other than Cowboy Bebop and Saber Marionette J, Adult Swim is lacking a real anime staple, however, that's set to change when Rurouni Kenshin premieres on March 17th.

Disney Channel is largely as is during this time period IOTL, but the network now has a new afterschool animation block being helmed by Zoids, Railpunchers is still expected to premiere this summer, while Playhouse Disney has experienced increased success due to Hamtaro and XYZ is a surprise hit with Inuyasha becoming the channel's most popular shows with teenagers despite initial thoughts it'd be edited to hell and back, the show has actually been kept at largely Adult Swim-level edits, but with a few edits here adn there in terms of violence and language. Clone High has been warped in controversy over the depiction of Ghandi, however, it's been announced that Clone High will still be renewed for a second season with Ghandi being revealed to be a different character completely. Jetix is largely still airing on weekend afternoons. That's So Raven! recently premiered, and it's already a huge hit.

Fox Family has went through a recent surge in ratings and popularity with shows such as Totally Spies!, Buffy: The Animated Slayer Chronicles and My Life as a Teenage Robot. In addition, the network is also expected to debut several new shows this year such as Mina and the Count, Phineas and Ferb, Detective Conan and more. There are also rumors of Scott Fellows developing several new series for the network, as well as a deal for a new series starring former Nickelodeon stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck.

Nickelodeon, despite tanking ratings, relevancy and popularity, has had a bit of a ratings increase with Jimmy Neutron, however, don't expect THAT to last long AT ALL!

Animax, which is just starting to find a audience, doesn't really have much "to see" content at the moment other than some anime that airs in a good timeslot, but in the next few years, expect this network to become a bigger name.

Universal Kids isn't up to much, of course, at the moment, both Disney and Universal are trying to reassess what to do with Vivendi already looking for other buyers of Universal, which includes General Electric, Comcast, TimeWarner, Sony, MGM and even DreamWorks.

Overall, it's a fight out here, but one that Universal Kids and Animax aren't really factored in much yet and Nickelodeon, once considering the king of ALL of cable TV, now fading out and Fox Family and Disney Channel finding new favor and Cartoon Network is taking full advantage of.
Oh uh, can Sunlands be a part of Toonami In this TL?

Splatshit Finally Hits The Fan (Yes, that's a reference to Nickelodeon's splat logo.........)
What kinda treat? And what's desert wrath?
It's right here............

An original anime idea I had here, but now it's not happening, at least ITTL.

VIACOM NETS HIJACKED!!!! Cable Networks Under Fire For Airing Disturbing Content: Crisis Deepens for Troubled Media Conglomerate

Variety; March 4th, 2003

In a shocking turn of events, Viacom's television networks, including CBS and UPN, were hijacked yesterday, resulting in the broadcast of disturbing and inappropriate content. This incident adds to the mounting troubles that have plagued Viacom in the past year, further tarnishing the reputation of the media conglomerate.

Viacom, already reeling from a series of controversies and upheavals, found itself at the center of yet another crisis as viewers across the nation were subjected to a disturbing hijacking of its television networks. The incident, which occurred in the primetime hours of March 3rd, sent shockwaves through the industry and left viewers and executives alike in a state of disbelief.

The hijacking comes at a time when Viacom has been embroiled in a plethora of challenges. Last year, a major uprising erupted amongst many staff members at Nickelodeon's animation studio, raising concerns about the working conditions and creative control within the network. Lawsuits, including allegations of harassment and abuse, have been filed against Viacom, further damaging its reputation.

The troubles for Viacom didn't stop there. The media conglomerate was accused of sabotaging the merger between The Walt Disney Company and Universal Studios, leading to legal battles and a strained relationship with industry peers. Additionally, allegations of illegal bribery, mistreatment of CBS News anchor Dan Rather, and even rumors of pedophilia have rocked Viacom to its core.

The recent hijacking incident has only exacerbated the challenges faced by Viacom and its parent company, National Amusements. A once-powerful media empire now finds itself grappling with a deepening crisis that threatens its very existence. The Redstone family, who owns a controlling stake in Viacom, must now confront the fallout from this disturbing incident while trying to salvage what remains of the company's reputation and assets.

Authorities are currently investigating the hijacking, working diligently to identify the culprits responsible for the unauthorized broadcast of such inappropriate content. In the midst of this ongoing crisis, Viacom's management faces immense pressure to take swift action, restore public trust, and ensure the security and integrity of its television networks.

As the investigation unfolds, the industry and the public eagerly await answers and demand accountability from Viacom. The outcome of this troubling incident will undoubtedly have far-reaching implications for not only the media conglomerate but also for the entire entertainment industry.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story as we strive to bring you the latest information on this unprecedented hijacking and its aftermath.

Angry Mother: "I am absolutely furious and disgusted by what I saw on Nickelodeon during primetime. My children were traumatized by the inappropriate content they were exposed to. This is a complete failure on the part of Viacom to ensure the safety and appropriateness of their programming. They need to be held accountable for this blatant disregard for our children's well-being!"

Traumatized Child: "I couldn't sleep at all last night after seeing those scary images on TV. It felt like a nightmare that came to life. Now all my favorite shows and characters like Spongebob, Timmy Turner, Arnold, the Rugrats and Jimmy Neutron are ruined! And Yu-Gi-Oh! moved to Cartoon Network. I don't understand why someone would do something so mean. I hope they catch the bad people who did this!"

Michael Eisner(Disney): "This incident serves as a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities within the media industry. As an executive from another film studio, I share the concern expressed by our colleagues at Viacom. It is crucial for all media organizations to work together and implement robust security protocols to prevent such breaches. We stand in solidarity with Viacom and offer any support necessary during this challenging time."

"As a representative of Cartoon Network, we are deeply disappointed by the recent incident that occurred during Nickelodeon's primetime. This incident highlights the lack of appropriate safeguards and oversight in their programming. It is their responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of their viewers, especially during primetime hours. We strongly condemn Nickelodeon's negligence in allowing such inappropriate content to air. We urge them to take immediate action to address their internal practices and enhance their security measures to prevent future incidents. The well-being of our young viewers should always be the top priority, and we will continue to uphold the highest standards of responsible programming at Cartoon Network."

In addition, cable and satellite providers released joint statements expressing their deep concern over the hijacking incident. They assured their customers that they are actively working with Viacom and other networks to investigate the incident and strengthen security measures. Additionally, they pledged to offer support to affected viewers and provide alternative programming options to ensure a safe and enjoyable viewing experience while in a televised address, the President of the United States expressed outrage and concern over the hijacking incident that occurred during primetime. They condemned the act as a threat to national security and vowed to allocate additional resources to support law enforcement agencies' efforts in identifying and apprehending the responsible individuals. The President emphasized the importance of media organizations and government working together to prevent future breaches and protect the well-being of the nation's citizens.

Echostar's Dish Network has already took action and removed their networks from their lineup, offering other networks as a alternative(EX: Nickelodeon was replaced with Toon Disney, MTV was replaced with MuchMusic USA, which is set to be rebranded as Fuse later this year while Comedy Central was replaced with the main Encore channel). Other cable and satellite providers are also considering removing their networks.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I stand before you today to address a deeply concerning incident that has recently taken place within our media landscape. The hijacking of Viacom's networks is not only an attack on the integrity of our media platforms but also a breach of trust towards millions of viewers.

As the President of this nation, it is my duty to ensure the safety and well-being of our citizens, which includes protecting them from such malicious acts. The unauthorized intrusion into Viacom's networks, causing the dissemination of inappropriate content during primetime hours, is abhorrent and unacceptable.

I want to assure you that our government is taking this matter extremely seriously. We are working closely with Viacom's leadership, law enforcement agencies, and cybersecurity experts to investigate this incident thoroughly. Those responsible for this violation of public trust will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
Furthermore, I urge all media companies to reevaluate their security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. Our citizens, especially the younger generation, deserve a safe and responsible media environment that promotes positive values and protects their well-being.

In the face of this adversity, I call upon the American people to remain resilient and united. Together, we will overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than ever. Let us continue to support each other, hold one another accountable, and work towards a media landscape that upholds the highest standards of integrity, safety, and responsibility.

Thank you, and may we navigate through these trying times with steadfast resolve and unwavering determination.

God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America.

Breaking News: Viacom Network Ratings Plummet Amidst Controversial Incident; Protests and Unfortunate Incidents Emerge

CNN.com; March 8th, 2003

In the wake of the recent hijacking incident that befell Viacom's networks, the media giant has seen a significant decline in its ratings, coupled with an escalation of protests, riots, and even reports of tragic cases of suicide. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry and left viewers and stakeholders in a state of disbelief.

According to industry analysts, Viacom's networks have experienced a substantial decrease in viewership since the unauthorized intrusion. The incident, which resulted in the dissemination of inappropriate content during primetime hours, has severely damaged the public's trust in the network group's ability to provide safe and responsible programming. As a result, viewers have been tuning out in droves, seeking alternative channels and platforms. Examples being many children and parents tuning to Cartoon Network in droves and an surprising increase in digital cable subscriptions.

Simultaneously, the public outcry against Viacom's handling of the incident has manifested in protests and demonstrations across major cities. Concerned citizens, media watchdog organizations, and advocacy groups have taken to the streets, demanding accountability and transparency from the media conglomerate. These protests have been predominantly peaceful, with participants voicing their frustration and calling for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.

But there has been several cases of riots that have ended in destruction, arrests and deaths.

Tragically, amidst the chaos and controversy, reports have emerged of individuals who have resorted to extreme measures, including cases of suicide allegedly linked to the distress caused by the hijacking incident. Mental health professionals are now urging individuals affected by the incident to seek support and counseling during this difficult time.

Viacom's executives and spokespersons have yet to release an official statement addressing the declining ratings and the growing unrest. The company is facing mounting pressure to provide reassurance to its viewers and stakeholders, outlining concrete steps to prevent future breaches of this magnitude and to regain public trust.

As this story continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the impact that media incidents can have on individuals and society as a whole. It underscores the importance of maintaining the highest standards of security, responsibility, and transparency within the media industry.

Unsettling Revelation: Was Something Sinister Lurking in the Recent Hackings?

ToonZone Forums; March 8th; 2003

Hey fellow forum members,

I don't know about you, but I've been following the recent hacking incident that targeted Viacom's networks. It's been all over the news, and the aftermath is just as shocking as the breach itself. But here's the thing that's been bothering me: could there be something more to this story?

As we've seen, the hackings resulted in the dissemination of inappropriate content during primetime hours, leading to a significant decline in Viacom's ratings. However, there's a growing buzz online suggesting that there might be something deeper at play here. Something that's making people act strangely, even beyond the initial shock and outrage.

Now, I'm not one to buy into conspiracy theories, but hear me out. Some people are speculating that the hackers injected subliminal messages or hidden triggers into the content that was aired. These messages, they claim, have the power to influence people's behavior, making them act irrationally, even to the point of protests, riots, and unfortunately, there are even reports of suicides. It's a chilling thought, but could there be any truth to it?

Of course, it's important to approach these claims with skepticism and critical thinking. We shouldn't jump to conclusions without solid evidence. But it's hard to ignore the mounting reports of individuals displaying unusual behavior following exposure to the hacked content. Could there be a correlation?

Now, before anyone dismisses this as pure speculation, let's remember that media has been used in the past as a tool for manipulation and control. Subliminal messages have been a subject of fascination and concern for decades. While their effectiveness remains a subject of debate, it's undeniable that media can have a profound impact on our thoughts and actions.

So, I pose this question to you, fellow forum members: Could there be something more to the recent hackings than meets the eye? Have any of you noticed any peculiar behavior in yourselves or others, perhaps after watching the hacked content? Let's discuss and share our thoughts, but please remember to keep the conversation respectful and grounded in facts.

Remember, this is all just speculation at this point. We must rely on credible sources and expert analysis to uncover the truth. Let's engage in a thoughtful and open dialogue, while remaining cautious of sensationalism and baseless claims.

Stay curious, stay informed, and let's unravel the mysteries together!

[WARNING: THE FOLLOWING DIALOGUE IS NOT TO BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED]
Government warning thingy; March 10th, 2003

Agent Smith (FBI): Good morning, Agent Johnson. I've been looking over the recent developments regarding Viacom's hacking incident, and it's clear that we need to take decisive action to put an end to their reign of terror. Have you had a chance to review the information?

Agent Johnson (FCC): Good morning, Agent Smith. Yes, I've been going through the reports as well. The situation is alarming, to say the least. The hacked content has caused widespread chaos and disruption, with the potential for even more severe consequences. We must act swiftly and strategically to bring Viacom to justice.

Agent Smith: Agreed, Agent Johnson. Our first priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of the public. We need to identify the source of the hackings and neutralize any potential threats. Have you been in contact with our technical teams and cybercrime specialists?

Agent Johnson: Absolutely, Agent Smith. We've assembled a team of experts who are analyzing the network breaches and tracing the origins of the hacks. Our aim is to gather as much evidence as possible to build a strong case against Viacom's attackers. We need to determine whether this was an inside job or if external entities were involved.

Agent Smith: Excellent work, Agent Johnson. In parallel, we should coordinate with our field agents to monitor any suspicious activities related to Viacom. We need to track down anyone involved in spreading the hacked content and causing harm to the public. Additionally, we should explore the possibility of collaborating with international law enforcement agencies, given Viacom's global reach.

Agent Johnson: Agreed, Agent Smith. By leveraging our partnerships and sharing information, we can broaden our scope and increase our chances of success. We'll need to establish a task force, combining our respective agency's resources, to streamline our efforts and ensure effective coordination.

Agent Smith: That's a wise approach, Agent Johnson. We need to bring all our resources to bear on this situation. Let's also explore legal avenues to hold Viacom accountable for any negligence or security vulnerabilities that facilitated these hackings. We must send a strong message that such actions will not be tolerated.

Agent Johnson: Absolutely, Agent Smith. We'll work with our legal team to assess the situation and see if any regulatory actions can be taken against Viacom. We also need to engage with the public, raising awareness about the risks associated with hacked content and providing guidance on how to stay safe online.

Agent Smith: Well said, Agent Johnson. Our ultimate goal is to restore order, protect the public, and ensure that Viacom's reign of terror comes to an end. Let's remain vigilant, focused, and determined as we move forward. Together, we will bring justice to those responsible and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Yeah, I know it's been a minute, but this TL isn't dead yet, if anything, in fact, it's actually about to reach the good part, then the aftermath, then the end. Shit's getting crazy.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Sweet Jesus.

What kinda stuff were those hackers showing?
I'm guessing something like porn at best or some sort of snuff film at worst.
The hijackings were more like this, but I'd suggest turning away if you're scared of this kind of stuff:

As well as similar stuff like that as well............

The Nickelodeon hijacking also has something akin to this:

I don’t think I would have been on Nick during the attack, thank goodness. I probably would have been watching CN’s prime time offerings, like, say, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Dexter’s Lab, or Johnny Bravo. Or whatever’s on CN during prime time in your timeline. By the way, are there any changes to what that schedule would look like IYTL? @Otakuninja2006 )

Oh, Creepypasta shit.
My original plan was something completely different and something that was gonna be FAR DIFFERENT.........

Thankfully, one of the mods told me no when I asked him could I use the original plan. So I came up with this, showed @CalBear last night, and he approved of it!

But yeah, the saga(as well as the entire TL) is about to be complete.
