San Lazaro, Inc. is a global pharmaceutical and medical evangelical corporation. It is one of the "Evil Eight" leaders in modern corporate imperialism, counting numerous vast territories in Africa under its domain. The name is derived from Lazarus, who was raised from the dead by Jesus. San Lazaro was founded by business magnates and siblings Ronald and Ruth Kane and evangelist and Baptist pastor John David Davis while vacationing in Brazil. The Kanes, early pioneers of the corporate imperialist movement, experienced great success working with Freshwatercorps in Chad and decided the next step would be introducing advanced pharmaceutical resources to Africa. Davis came up with the idea of giving medical supplies to people in Africa if they embraced Christianity and thus evangelism became the heart of San Lazaro. This also provides their mission statement "Live through Christ", as their subjects can only live by embracing Christ. San Lazaro is technically publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, but the American federal government gleefully prosecutes anyone even remotely connected to San Lazaro stock. For this reason, the majority of San Lazaro stock is owned by the Kane-Davis families. The remainder is held by government officials and contracted warlords from within their territories.

San Lazaro first began operations in Africa in 2050, starting with Niger and Chad thanks to FWC connections in the Nigerian government. The Davis experiment was a success, as people were willing to convert in exchange for AIDS medication, malaria vaccines, and other desperately needed products. People also signed up en masse to be test subjects for new drugs in exchange for food and shelter. Their expansion continued over the next decade into the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. However, in the 60s, they came into direct competition with FWC, who were also experimenting in the health care business. FWC and the Muslim controlled Nigerian government forcefully ousted them from nations in the Nigerian sphere of influence. San Lazaro responded by moving their base of operations to the DRC, a country which had remained untouched by corporate colonization due to massive internal strife. San Lazaro directly engineered the subsequent Congo Civil War and the creation of the Republic of Zaire as their personal puppet state. The geopolitical quagmire surrounding the Civil War contributed to the defeat of Vice President George Powell in the American presidential election.

In the new Zaire, San Lazaro were given completely free reign by the new government, resulting in some of the worst human rights abuses of the late 21st centuries. The complete extent of their operations in Zaire remain unknown thanks to the tight police state that is the Zairean government. However, the products of their experimentation have had a demonstrable positive effect on the nations of Central Africa, rebuilding Zaire to great heights and putting it in competition with Nigeria and the East African Federation. Through Zaire, they have also expanded into Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Angola, but continue to face fierce resistance in the Republic of Congo.

Today, San Lazaro's corporate empire extends over much of southern and central Africa, engaging in proxy wars with their competitors among the Evil Eight. San Lazaro prides itself on the number of lives they proclaim to save, both in this life and the next, but among the Eight, San Lazaro ranks third in human rights abuse. There are also number of notorious characters among the highest classes of the ruling family. For example, Heinrich David Davis, the current Grand Pastor of San Lazaro, is a wanted criminal across the globe for his personal involvement with the militant wing of the corporation, most famously the assassination of two Popes.

Some people in the Soviet Union's government, driven by technocracy, utopian dreams and the grim reality of war, thought that the best way to maintain the unity and stability of the Soviet Union was to create an "united Soviet people" by sending rebellious peoples to the East and mixing up entire nations. In practice, this led to a lot of tension and a lot of new homelands in Siberia.

But the Soviet Union persisted. At the very least, until its government, under the barking mad Nikolai Starikov, declared atomic war on the United States. And then, plagues rained upon both houses, and countless men and women perished. In the wake of the Final War, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (the Eesti-Nenets Autonomous Okrug following the Great Relocations) was seized by the Estonian stalkers that lived in it.

Julius Viiding (17 October 1999 – 3 January 2078) was the First President of the Yamalian Republic and its Minister of Defence. An urban stalker following the Final War, Yuliy was a young, intelligent, strong engineer, a true Komsomol whose family held a small business in Novyy Urengoy. A man deeply interested in the declining culture and language of the Estonians and the Nenets, Yuliy was, like most people, an anti-Soviet revolutionary at heart, as well as an explorer. During the Final War, he and his "Estonian Company" seized control of the Okrug, giving birth to the Yamalian Republic. While, at first, the Republic had its problems due to the unforgiving climate of Yamal, its people persisted and thrived in the face of famine and war, perhaps thanks to Viiding's patriotism and strategy. Supported by 92% of Yamalian people, Julius Viiding was a great man who put his people above everything.

Julius Viiding passed away in 3 January 2078 due to pneumonia. May he be remembered.

Literally no one believes that Goldwater is in any way more racist than Evan "'Pickanniny' Is A Perfectly Acceptable Term" Mecham or is even jokingly debating this.

Florida Senate Election, 2016

After Senator Marco Rubio won the GOP nomination, the race for his Senate seat opened up. The Democratic primary was a rather sleepy affair where Congressman Patrick Murphy won. The GOP side was far more interesting. A crowded field of eight featured such politicians as Rep. David Jolly, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, Rep. Ron DeSantis, as well as more minor candidates such as Pinellas County Sheriff Dwight Young and businessman Carlos Beruff. Beruff ran far to the other candidates' right and was endorsed by brief Presidential contender Donald Trump. While Beruff quickly made a name for himself, he never polled higher than third place, with the race seemingly a tossup between Jolly and Lopez-Cantera.

The pundits were shocked when Beruff claimed a very close victory over Jolly in the August 31 primary. Jolly's requests for a recount were accepted, but the effort fizzled out as donors slowly abandoned him. Pundits realized that Beruff had carved out his own electorate on the GOP's far right, and the other three major candidates had split the establishment vote. The final nail in the coffin for Jolly was Dwight Young's candidacy. He claimed the same home turf (Pinellas County) as did Jolly, and cost Jolly a few very crucial votes there.

Murphy wasn't the most inspiring candidate, and in poll matchups against all three major GOP contenders (excluding Beruff), he lost, albeit narrowly. Beruff was an unknown factor in the race. Polls showed him both slightly ahead and far behind Murphy. It was hard for polls to catch him. However, he tumbled definitively in the polls after calling President Obama "an animal" during a rally, and in that same rally, insulting GOP nominee Rubio, whom many Republicans had a favorable view of in Florida. Beruff lacked support from the Republican establishment, only appearing with such figures as Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, and Allen West. In contrast, Murphy appeared on stage with the Obamas, the Bidens, the Clintons, and many Florida Democrats, as well as New York politicians Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg, known moderates. The Beruff campaign was deemed worthless after the debate, where Murphy dominated while Beruff flopped. Election day came showing Murphy ahead of Beruff by five points, with Republicans hoping Rubio's coattails in the state would help his downballot successor.

In the end, Murphy prevailed by over 10 points and nearly a million votes, even while Marco Rubio won the state by a 6 point margin.​
