Now this kids, this is how you do a pun box.
@edricwashington The Federal Broadcasting Service wouldn't be a department- it would either be an independent agency (so that it's legally more insulated from political pressures) or similar to how PBS is set up today with it being a private non-profit with government funding through a trust.
That actually makes it even funnier.snip
You and I, we think a lot alike.
I really dig this idea. We just find random shit lying around and use it for what we want. And now they've gone rogue.
I smell a story.
McMullin. I'd love Huntsman to run for Senate, but he wouldn't run as an Independent.@Peyton Who is the independent who wins in Utah? Huntsman, Jr. or McMullin?
The margin is pretty slim, but I believe that now that Trump is President, anything could happen.Something tells me that a political climate where the Democrats benefit enormously from the unpopularity of a buffoonish celebrity-politician who believes in conspiracy theories will see Minnesota voters decide to vote for a buffoonish celebrity-politician who hosted a show all about his belief in conspiracy theories.
You have nothing to lose but your batting average.
They didn't so much go rogue as they were never under control. The United States was in a bad way by the time they dug these up. In 2580, Scientific Occultism was the fastest-growing religion in the United States. In 2610, Scientific Occultism and Itinericism became the state religions. In the years 2619-2625, remaining democratic US institutions were finally demolished to make way for a government based on worshipping elder gods. Folks knew exactly what they were digging up, exactly what it was going to do, and exactly how much blood they were going to need.
I don't know, that's a really cool idea. USS Tekamthi (BB-21)?This makes it even better.
And matches weirdly with the U.S. TAMD trying to turn gods into battleships.
We really need to stop thinking so alike.
I don't know, that's a really cool idea. USS Tekamthi (BB-21)?
The only reason I know about her is because of a sketch on In Living Color.
Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, died on April 19, 2039. To much controversy, he received a state funeral. His three immediate predecessors and successors were all present. In fact, three future presidents were also present.
Mass protests were held every day from Trump's death to the funeral. While his body lay in state in the rotunda of the Capitol, protestors were outside. The funeral procession was described to be more secure than a presidential inauguration, yet the protesting continued and turned into rioting. The funeral procession was assaulted by the mob as it proceeded down Pennsylvania Avenue. The rioters climbed over protective barriers and gathered around the casket. Although no shots were fired, smoke was released into the crowd and those who came to pay their respects engaged in violence with the rioters. In the chaos, the deceased was abducted from the casket. This was not noticed until the riot was quelled and the crowd dispersed. Thus began a 10 month manhunt for the kidnappers and the body. In the meantime, hundreds of arrests were made. Rioters were prosecuted and sentenced. Eventually four men were arrested in connection with the kidnapping.
Jonas Cordray: freshman at Georgetown, Charles Rubenstein: sophomore at Georgetown, Adam Navitsky: freshman at Wesleyan, and Dylan Wright: sophomore at UCLA
Jonas Cordray and Charlie Rubenstein decided to go protest at the state funeral of Donald Trump. They both invited a friend from other universities and also brought Charlie's roommate, Kevin Young. Caught up in the mob, they found themselves right next to the casket, unguarded, and in the spur of the moment, decided to abscond with the body. Young was killed in the escape attempt. For 10 months they eluded justice until the FBI caught them. Indeed, if Cordray had not been pulled over for drunk driving, it is possible they would never have been caught at all. The Gang were charged with kidnapping, murder, inciting riot, rioting, and assault. A drawn-out and muddled trial dubbed the Trial of the Century lasted almost a year. On the count of kidnapping, they were found not guilty as it was not proven beyond a reasonable doubt. The attempt to connect them to the deaths of one of the soldiers in the Honor Guard failed due a complete lack of evidence. They were also found not guilty of inciting riot, as another unconnected individual claimed responsibility for encouraging other protesters to riot. During the trial, all four were expelled from their respective universities. In the end, they were only convicted of rioting and assault and were imprisoned for 180 days. Upon their release they resumed civilian life. Privately, they contacted the Trump family and informed that Donald Trump was in fact buried where he was supposed to be and that they buried him on the night after the kidnapping. This was confirmed when the family ordered an exhumation. Trump was reburied in a private ceremony.
The Habeas Corpus Gang are highly polarizing figures in public opinion. They have become symbols of anarchist elements and protesting, while most people consistently decry them as criminals and generally terrible people. Cordray has publicly stated "If we didn't do it, someone else would have done something worse."

Just some fun - might add some more information later.
Les Anges
I don't think it does, just with the singular (AFAIK).It's been two years since I had a French class, but would it be l'Anges? I can't remember if it does the contraction with the plural of le or not.
This is what Wikipedia does. Upper number is year of the election, lower is year of the inauguration.Could you explain why there's two years on the term bit?
