Is this the first map we've got set in modern day TTL? Also interesting to see that TTL's Yugoslavia exchanged Croatia and Slovenia for Bulgaria, Macedonia and Albania.

Why all Bosnia was renamed Herzegovina? Historically, Herzegovina was a small sowth-east (and moslty Croat populated) corner of Bosnia-Herzegovina around the city of Mostar.
Herzegovina was chosen as the supposedly 'neutral' name for a territory consisting of Croats, Bosniaks and Serbs and ruled by an Italian.

Also, why Jugoslavia use the Greek name Saloniki, not Macedonian Solun?
"Saloniki" was chosen as a 'neutral', international name for the city. The local Macedonian, Greek etc. names for the city have official standing locally.

So no riots over school uniform policy and presumably no canibalism inthe Royal Palace or if it never came to light?
The latter. The Chinese also keep a firmer hand on their client states than the French did OTL and they intervene in 1996 to make sure that OTL Jean-Serge is chosen as the next emperor ahead of OTL Jean-Bedel Jr. (Confusingly both are named Johann TTL.)
