Die Neuordnung

The 2nd Great War ended in 1947, and a sort of peace ensured. Until 1952, when the Communalists took over Germany and its sphere, leading to the creation of the Internationale, and the quick expansion of its sphere of influence. Germany itself became the Free States of Europe, with other countries such as the Western Russian Soviet Republic, or the Iranian People's Republic emerging.

Meanwhile, Japan capitalized on the chaos to expand its sphere of control, annexing the entirety of mainland Asia, what remained of it at least. Africa got decolonized, only Italy maintaining its colonies, and status as the only free nation in Europe.

In the Americas, the Socialist Confederates were destroyed in the 2nd Great War, and a coup by the Royalists in New England led to the ousting of the Patriotists. America's borders were redrawn, with a new Confederacy emerging. The British Royal Family, having resided in New England, was given control over Canada, what part of it remained stable, at least. Mexico's efforts were paid back with land, and Japan took control over most of the West Coast.

South America unified under the Brazilian monarchy, becoming the South American Union, a semi-democratic state that still follows the tenets of Patriotism, and is in a close alliance with France and Italy.

Overall, this world has changed much since the turn of the century, and whether it will change even more is yet to be seen.

This is the 3rd map in my Pine Tree Forever timeline, set in 1962. Ignore the obvious TNO refferences. Tech is dieselpunk, as exemplified by that train thingy I drew. In this TL Iberia would fit the role of Burgundy, what with them following Posadism, or sth. I do know there was an actual offshoot of communism which was basically BurgSys without the racial superiority part. Anyway, enjoy.

PoD: Vladimir Lenin was shot dead in August 1917
1) Instead of the Bolshevik coup in November 1917, the Provisional Government was overthrown by a coalition of leftist forces. Leon Trotsky becomes Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars
2) The Constituent Assembly is not dispersed, but adopts the Soviet constitution of Russia
3) Soviet Russia didn't come out of the First World War
4) Soviet power is preserved as a coalition of left-wing parties
5) Due to a number of factors, the red government acts softer than IOTL and the civil war ends earlier. The situation on the peryphery (except for Georgia, which England didn't allow to be seized) is also better than IOTL
6) Soviet Hungary held out thanks to Russian support against Romania
7) A Russian-German white state is formed in the Baltic States
8) Thanks to the influence of Soviet Russia, that wants to have a buffer between itself and the British Empire, France gets the Mosul vilayet. A monarchy is established in Syria headed by Faisal Hashemit. Abdula becomes King of Iraq
9) Iran becomes a republic. Reza Pehveli killed by Kurds
10) Because of butterflies, the socialist revolution wins in Xinjiang, not Mongolia

A rather basic one; a world where Italy times its defection to the Allies waaaaay better than OTL, resulting in Fascist Italy surviving and emerging to lead its own bloc following Germany's defeat. Done in the Diamond basemap style, so a bit more minimalistic than your average fare.

I might do a present-day map at some point.

And as always, I'll field questions if there are any.

How is fascism perceived by TTL 2020?

How is fascism perceived by TTL 2020?

Overall, fascism is seen by most of the world in the same light it is OTL, with the United States having even more egg on its face for supporting Fascist Italy during the Cold War. While Mussolini's regime was still kicking fascism (specifically the Italian kind) was seen in a more positive light, but of late historical revisionism has denigrated Italy and its Cold-War era buddies as little than more pragmatic Hitlerites.

Interesting take on it. I see you gave California independence since your Southern Victory Multiverse. I'm curious about how "Anglo-fascist dictatorship Canada" works.
Yeah, I thought California would gain independence. As for Canada, I imagine it be an Ultra-nationalist government that Vilinize the Franco-Canadians/Quebecois and the Aboriginal Natives, as well as other Non-White Canadians.

Union Referendum.png

1991 Britannic Union Referendum is an analogue of the 1991 Soviet Union Referendum. Most of the Commonwealths of the Union had already seceded (it was a much more gradual process than OTLs USSR) and therefore the referendum was only held in the remaining 5 Britannic Syndicalist Commonwealths; England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Gibraltar. As Special Administrative Districts are directly under the Union and not autonomous (similar to US territories in relation to US states) no vote was held in those regions. Ireland was the only Commonwealth to not agree to continuation of the Union with Ireland declaring independence following the referendum. Of the results, Ireland was the lowest "YES" vote (naturally) with percentage being below 40%, while Gibraltar was the highest "YES" vote with above 90%. Of the 3 Commonwealths on Great Britain Wales had the highest Unionist vote. After the referendum Britannic Union sans Ireland was reformed into the British Provisional Government.
Monarchy Referendum.png

Soon after Irish independence remaining parts of the Union held a referendum over the restoration of the Windsor Monarchy. The "YES" vote won in all territories. "NO" did the best in England (with Scotland having the 2nd highest "NO" percentage). With the Referendum succeeding the United Kingdom was restored (This new UK is a federal state and not an unitary one with devolved regions as OTL). The primary subdivisions are the 3 constituent countries (England, Wales and Scotland), the 4 Crown Dependencies (Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar)(somewhat more autonomous than the countries) and (currently) 7 overseas territories (including Antarctic claim).
