Today, the East German government of Paul Ziemiak, "in close cooperation" with Minister of Foreign Affairs Klaus Buchner (Reichnaturschutzbund), announced that no further arms will be delivered to Katanga.
"This explicitly applies also for arms exports that had already been approved of" said Paul Ziemiak at a Wählersprechstunde ("voters' consultation") in his native Stettin.
Also, 18 persons, among them the Minister of Defence of Katanga, Tomasz Kyunda-Lemba, are from now on barred from entering East Germany. East Germany thus follows suit - as one of the last. Such measures the Internationale had already taken in early October and, in late October, were followed by Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, the People's Republic of Greece, the National Union of Greece, the Thracian Union, the Independent State of Croatia, the Federation of Czechia, Slovakia and Ruthenia, and the Polish Commonwealth.
This comes as a further consequence of the murder of Ephraïm Mbayo. The journalist, a critic of the absolutist totalitarian monarchy in the Kingdom of Katanga, was - as Katanga has recently admitted to - murdered in the country's National Greek embassy.
