Wait, not Islam, Buddhism, my bad. Even more interesting. Even if there's a significant Christian community, the area is traditionally Buddhist/ Hindu/ Muslim, which weighs more. Just like the OTL West doesn't really practice Christianity, but it's still the traditional religion...
Singapore's religious demographics is extremely heterogeneous. Unlike the rest of the Malay archipelago, there is no one dominant religion in Singapore. Buddhism is the largest, but it doesn't have the overall majority. Islam, Christianity, Taoism, Hinduism and others all have significant representation too. Any monarchy, regardless of religion, would have to contend with that.

A couple low effort flags here, but important to the new timeline of Teklistan. Upon the death of President Nukov, two breakaway states would declare their independence. This would be the catalyst for the Teklistan Civil War. I have more interesting flags planned for the other factions but I figured a couple simple designs wouldn't hurt.

A breakaway state in the Southeast where the Kazakh majority resides. This group seeks a union with Kazakhstan.

A breakaway state in the Northwest where the Russian majority resides. This group seeks a union with Russia.

Haudenosaunee America

Made this when I had just joined the forum

Of course some of the shapes are disproportional because Im not very great at proportions and my thumb nerve got sore to help, but I still hope it looks nice. Wish to remake it someday

Flag of Normandy
TL, where the Vikings/ Norsmen (Danes, Norwegians, Swedes) didn't break up into separate countries, but got united/ consolidated instead by their first Christian king. The country is called Normandy (because their endonym was Norsmen/ Normann) and incidentally they have very similar flags to OTL Normandy, although I used the colours from the Kalmar flag - this one looks better than the yellow-red-yellow version.

Idea: colour-coded flags where the leftmost third reprsents which octant (divided into eighths) of the globe you are in

Red: Octant 1- Eastern North America, Central and Northern South America, Western Africa, Iberia and Britain
Orange: Octant 2 - South America south of the Equator
Yellow: Octant 3 - Africa and Europe east of 0’ longitude and north of the Equator, Asia west of the 90’E
green: Octant 4- Africa south of the Equator
Blue: octant 5 - Asia north of the Equator and east of 90’ E - roughly the Far East
Purple : Octant 6 - roughly Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand
Black: Octant 7 - North America west of the 90’W
Octant 8 refers to the South Pacific

The rest of the flag is colour coded from 1-9, as long as said color does not match the leftmost bar

For example for Octant 1,
  • 1=orange
  • 2=yellow
  • 3=green
The colors brown and gray are used.
For example a state in Eastern North America would have a red ‘Octant’ and an Orange Rest

Flag of the Novgorodian Federation in the world of the Sidemoving.

It's the flag of the city of Veliky Novgorod, with a few changes made: the changing of the crosses and candles to signify the state ideals of Liberty and Intelligence, the addition of a red stripe to signify the fact that the country is mostly Belarus, some changes to the fish because they looked funny before, and the little seat cushion has eyes now.

In the previous flag thread, I made a post about my creation: The Republic of Teklistan. Well, I got the bug to go through and revise aspects of it. So here is the start of this revision. I changed the colors of the flag, along with changing from a 2:3 to a 1:2 aspect ratio. I also added a white star in the design of the Soviet star. The green represents the agriculture that is the basis for the Teklistan economy, the blue represents the Ural River, and the star represents the hope for peace between the three major ethnic groups within the country: Tekls, Kazakhs, and Russians. Teklistan occupies the irl Orenburg Oblast.

On that note, I do have my own "Stan", although in the Caucasus, which is the Republic of Kobenistan (free cookie to those who guesses where the name came from), where it takes the place of IRL's Daghestan. Basically, a more Russified Azerbaijan compared to the Turkic one, although the influence of Islam is present, as obviously shown on the flag, even though said flag is derivative of the former Transcaucasian Democratic Federative Republic of the past. That and of course, the four stars represent Islam, society, freedom, and stability; the yellow for the resources the country holds, black for the people, and red of course, the bloodshed over its history:

Since it's Saint Nicholas Day today, here's something appropriate from my archives, made some seven or eight years ago. :)

Benevolent Slovak Provisional Republic of St. Nicholas flag.png

"Benevolent Slovak Provisional Republic of St. Nicholas

You know Alien Space Bats, those rascals... They're constantly up to no good and mischief. One fateful early Advent, a group of ASBs decided to pick on the contemporary Slovak Republic. Their ASB ways wrecked havoc on the country, creating fear, confusion and insanity in what was to be a quiet and calm beginning to the upcoming festive season. It seemed only a miracle could help save the country from the oppression of the ASBs... And sure enough, the pre-Christmas miracle everyone was hoping for eventually arrived. If ASBs are wrecking up your country and military might, diplomatic measures or even desperate superscience can't help... Who ya gonna call ? That's right... Good old St. Nick !

St. Nicholas showed up in his magical sleigh pulled by dashing snow-white steeds, assisted by his sidekicks and helpers, an angel and a devil. The trio, but St. Nick in particular, made quick work of the ASB intruders, giving them what for and banishing them back into the ASB dimension. However, all was not well right away. Slovakia had been rather trashed and abused by the whimsically insane ideas and pastimes of the ASBs and needed at least a few months or years to rebuild. Parts of the country's leadership and elites had also been previously kidnapped by the ASBs, many of them still trapped in other timelines and awaiting eventual rescue. Given the complicated and chaotic situation in the country during the ASB defeat aftermath, St. Nicholas agreed to stay and help for a while. His efforts bore fruit in the form of a proposal to create a "provisional Slovak republic of benevolence and generosity", in order to ease the transition of the country from its crisis state back to normality - hopefully in time for Christmas, of course (by either Gregorian or Julian calendar reckoning) !

Sure enough, the plan succeeded. While the provisional republic founded by St. Nicholas was only short-lived and was replaced by the normal Slovak Republic again after mid January of the following year, this short-lived state remained fondly remembered in the memories of many a Slovak citizen. A particularly fond memory was one of the central provisional policies: "Lots of presents, generosity, love for thy fellow man, and merry-making and hoopla... But less complicated politics, people want to take their minds off that right now !" ;)

During the brief existence of the provisional republic, the secondary anthem adopted by the citizens out of gratitude was the classic St. Nicholas' Day carol Mikulášku, dobrý strýčku. :)"

Also, happy Day of Independence, Finland. :)
