DCS - Yet Another Colour Scheme, but without an acronym

Update 2.2
I have updated the Scheme again, hope this is the final version, subject only to minor changes and the needed ampliation in non-country sections I keep procrastrinating about

By the way, now I made a Changelog to keep up with changes

Thanks for the update, @Drex ! I'll probably still make some proposals for colours, chief among them:
  • Technocratic Germany (separate from Ulm)
  • Absolutist Britain
  • White Supremacist/Israelite Britain/Anglo-Nazi
  • Technocratic Britain(?)
  • Nordic Canada
  • Japanese Canada
  • Chinese Canada
  • far-left Canada (i.e. more "general Canada" colours)
  • Republican, Monarchist, and far-left Lithuania (with the current colour used for far-right Lithuania)
  • far-left (and far-right?) Portugal
  • Oulu should also stand in for "far-left Finland" (or I'll propose a new colour)
  • Scandinavian/Nordic Indonesia
I am not as decided, but toying with the ideas of:
  • syndicalist and/or anarchist colours for some nations next to "normal" far-left ones (especially in Spain)
  • more colours for Armenia/the Caucasus
  • maybe some more colours and/or a redistribution of German colours
  • a few more colours for Turkey in general, maybe
  • maybe some US colours (e.g. Democratic far-left US/Combined Syndicates of America)
Also, what would you think about a section or at least a few colours for "outlandish states"? I thought of adding it below the "Antarctica" section, and it would include things like:

  • Hindu/Indian-descended state in Western or Central Europe
  • Buddhist/South East Asian descended state in Western or Central Europe
  • the same for the Middle East/North Africa
  • Matriarchy/feminist state
  • Corporation state/company-ruled lands
  • Luddite/"deep green" state
  • AIocracy/rule by AI
I could of course also imagine including them into existing sections.

What are your thoughts and ideas?

How about dynamist (Constructivist) and Hindu or other Asian-descended states in North America and Western Europe?

Thank you so much, @Drex for update! I'll wanted to make few suggestions of new colors.

Russia
- Add Barnaul/Secondary Altai/Russian Prison State
- Include Moksha in Mordovia
- Add Erzya/Secondary Mordovia
- Include Orok people in Sakhalin
- Inclube Kets in Turukhansk instead Selkups (who already in Tomsk)

Belarus
- Replace Grodno/Upper Dnieper to Gomel/Upper Dnieper

Ukraine
- Remove Pinsk from Volhynia and add Lutsk. And give Pinsk/Polesia own color with move to Belarus
- Add Zhytomir/Polish Ukraine
- Include Lviv in Galicia/Halych
- Include Pripyat based state in Chernobyl
- Add Nikolaev/German Ukraine

Poland
- Add Lemko Republic/Area settled by Eastern Slavs

Hungary
- Add Jasz people/Iazyges/Iranian Hungary
- Remove Avars from Kursk (Russia) and give own color

China
- Include Salar people in Hexy Corridor

Here are my proposals for expansion or - in some cases, especially regarding Germany - modification of the DCS colour scheme

I was inspired by maps that I made or have seen recently, as well as (in some cases) by other colour schemes like SUCK by @Skallagrim and THICC by @ML8991 , @Crazy Boris et al., and last but not least X2 and TOASTER. I calculated the paler and darker colours using the excel table by @Ashtagon (or was it @XO Maenadicus ?).
Some colours (Lithuania, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the first two European Federation colours,...) were lifted from colours of official flags.

Some of the colours (discernible by a different font) are taken from @erictom333 . :
The font I used is Calibri, 9 pt. (or sometimes 8 pt.) and italic.

(Also I just realised we're missing a Ladakh color.)
@Red Arturoist Some of these are already covered. In general, I use the alliance colors for pan-continental federations, e.g. the current EU color for a European Federation. Also take the Shapsugs color I forgot to add last time.

@Red Arturoist Some of these are already covered.
I know, but I propose a modification regarding Germany and Lithuania (with Germany, the two current main colours should be edited to liberal/constitutional monarchist Germany and authoritarian/absolutist monarchist Germany, and regarding Lithuania, the current main colour shall be used for far-right Lithuania). Also, I thought some colours inadequate - e.g. the current Republican Britain colour works well for Cromwell's Britain, but looks too communist on modern-day maps when it is about a normal, liberal democratic Republic of Britain.

Change "Swaziland / Major Native Empire / KaNgwane" to "Eswatini / Swaziland / Major Native Empire / KaNgwane".
Also, change "FYROM / Vadarska / Slavic Macedonia" to "North Macedonia / FYROM / Vadarska / Slavic Macedonia".

Currently on my own big revamp of China and India.
I at least considered separating colours for a "foreign Nazi/White Supremacist India" and "far-right extremist (native) India", possibly with "Azad Hind/Japanese India" as another far-right category?
I know a bit more about India than about China, but I am by far no expert.

On the far-right and theocratic end of the spectrum, I would propose:
  • Hindutva India/Hindu theocracy
  • far-right extremist (native) India
  • foreign-ruled/White Supremacist or racist India
  • Azad Hind/Japanese India/secondary far-right extremist India
  • Islamist/Muslim theocratic India
  • Buddhist theocratic/Tibetan India
  • Christian theocratic India/St. Thomas Christians/Asian Christianity
  • far-right/Islamist Bengal

Regarding the far-left, secular/atheist end of the spectrum, ideally, we would get:
  • Marxist(-Leninist) India/CPI-M
  • authoritarian Marxist-Leninist India/CPI-ML
  • Maoist India/Naxalites
  • Dalit-ruled/religious far-left India
  • Adivasi state/Asian indigenous People
  • South India/far-left Dravidia
  • Muslim far-left India/far-left Pakistan
  • Maoist, atheist or secular Pakistan
  • far-left Bengal
  • East India/far-left Assamese state.
Also, what about an overhaul for Southeast Asia?

What about German, French, white and black supremacist, secular, Orthodox, Buddhist, and Scandinavian Japan and the Philippines? I should add UWC colors and syndicalist colors.

Uh guys, while I think its cool that you want to contribute to this CS, ultimately it's Drex's color scheme so you should probably keep it to just some suggestions every now and then. If you want to work on a "more complete" color scheme, you could probably start your own, maybe even ask Drex if you could take colors from his, but I don't think this is the right place for that.

On most ideas, I agree. There are quite a few syndicalist and communist colours already in my proposals above, but you are right, my focus was neither on Japan nor on the Phillippines.

The only thing where I don't think a separate colour is necessary is "black supremacist Japan". Maybe a general colour for an African Japan or African East Asia?

While I do agree that it is ultimately @Drex 's decision, I think they are prepared to incorporate suggestions for at least moderate expansion. And I don't think I would be able to start on a completely new scheme myself - maybe, we would manage collaboratively, that could be possible.

EDIT: I really like your ideas for Pakistan already, erictom333.

I don't think we need that many; probably just the middle two, already under
  • Islamist/Muslim theocratic India
Merge with Hazara.
  • Buddhist theocratic/Tibetan India
Merge with Ladakh.
  • Christian theocratic India/St. Thomas Christians/Asian Christianity
Already in Kerala.
  • far-right/Islamist Bengal
To be added.

  • Dalit-ruled/religious far-left India
No.
  • Adivasi state/Asian indigenous People
I'll deal with those case by case.
  • South India/far-left Dravidia
To be added.
  • Muslim far-left India/far-left Pakistan
Merge with Pothohar.
  • Maoist, atheist or secular Pakistan
Merge with Northern Sindh.
  • far-left Bengal
Already under Dhaka.
  • East India/far-left Assamese state.
Merge with Karbi Anglong.
Also, what about an overhaul for Southeast Asia?
Coming soon!

@erictom333 , of course you can - and that was my intention - merge those proposals with some tribal/provincial/pre-modern colours.

Why do you think we don't need a Dalit-ruled India colour?

We only need one of these.
I did consider only two of them, I agree we might not need two kinds of Marxist(-Leninist) India, but I think Marxist and Maoist India/Naxalites are sufficiently different to warrant two colours.

Regarding (all of/main) China, I thought of (many of the colour concepts already esist):
  • Qin Dynasty/ancient China
  • Han Dynasty/main monarchist China
  • Tang Dynasty/secondary monarchist China
  • Song Dynasty/modern absolutist China/early industrial state(?)
  • Yuan Dynasty/foreign monarchist China
  • Ming Dynasty/Greater China
  • Qing Dynasty/(secondary) constitutional monarchist China
  • Marxist(-Leninist) China
  • Maoist China (OTL People's Republic of China)
  • maybe radical Maoist/Cultural Revolutionary China?
  • militarist/stratocratic China/Sun Yat-sen
  • liberal China (OTL Republic of China)
  • far-right/Han supremacist China
  • technocratic China
