I took the time and added many/most of my suggestions into the actual colour scheme. This is what I'll be using, maybe with some expansions if such are proposed.

Mind the "Exotic/Rare states" section which I added onto Antarctica:

@Drex , should we continue expansion proposals in this thread or should we use this as a base for a new colour scheme?

Could you also propose/add a colour for a Romani state? I'll put these suggestions into my scheme tomorrow.

Also, I'll try another image hoster service as imgur apparently jpg'ed the file and thus made it unusable. Could somebody here recommend a particular, durable, hoster for large files like this colour scheme (8-12 MB)?

How about DeviantArt? I used their sta.sh and had no issues,

Guangdong has three distinct cultural zones.
- The western, Cantonese half from Zhanjiang to Guangzhou/Canton (the PRD may be further splintered from it).
- The coastal east from Shanwei to Chaozhou, which is Hokkienese.
- The inland east - Huizhou, Heyuan, Meizhou, Shaoguan - which is ethno-linguistically Hakka.
And as I could tell, the Hakka are constantly being ignored in most colour schemes as they don't traditionally have a province of their own.

Sadly I never saved the files I used. They shouldn't be too difficult to replicate anyways since I always picked from the first results in Google images.
