The Land of Sad Songs
A spinoff of Protect and Survive, written by DrakonFin. It is set in his native Finland and chronicles how the little country coped with both the coming and aftermath of The Exchange in the cold winter months of early 1984, and beyond. Many of the main chapters are prefaced by aptly chosen songs from various Finnish bands and singers, old and new. In addition to these, the chapters often include glimpses into the future of this ATL Finland (during the late 2000s) - the framing device being that historians and archivists are interviewing various survivors of the 1984 war and collecting their oral histories about that era.
You can read the timeline here. Alternatively, read it chapter by chapter via the chapter guide available below.
As of September 2014, the timeline has reached full completion.
