Holy cow, this is super cool! I actually had originally planned to go into more detail on the politics on the original map, but gave up on it because I wasn't sure how to credibly think up a political system like this from scratch. Can you go into more detail on how you drew the district lines and calculated the party strength from demographics?

A Dead Zone is a zone by which life itself struggles to thrive, in part due to the extreme nature of the Climate Crisis. Class Alpha is the strictest, most intense form of martial law to be imposed by the government, with extreme punishments and retributory policies enacted on "Un-American Persons."
Why is the south not filled with far-right/ white supremacist groups like the KKK and others? since you think that they would thrive in this environment
Maybe the south was the first place that martial law was imposed in, due to their fascistic tendencies, leading many far-right groups to flee to the MKA. Then, when the MKA started putting more pressure on Washington, the troops were pulled out of there, allowing the communists to rebel.
EDIT: Who is the CF in California? Communists? Also why is Oregon the home to nazis? Do many live there IOTL or did the events in your world just radicalise the people there to the far-right? And who is the yellow blob in Utah? Robot mormons?

I'm assuming the largest city in the United States is now Chicago, am I correct ? The Great Lakes region seem to suffer the least in terms of climate change comparatively speaking (except possibly more subtropical and wet in climate)

A simple map, but one I spent 90 or so minutes in an excel spreadsheet for.
The 2024 and 2028 electoral map if Puerto Rico and DC were states (and the size of the House didn't change).

One important thing I found from this is that doing the math revealed that PR would be entitled to four representatives upon becoming a state, not five.

Oregon Nazis I guess are Harold Covington Northwest Front-types (the "Cascadia should secede and become a white ethnostate" types). I guess they crossed the mountains from Idaho and Eastern Oregon and seized control of the economic centers in the state.

Hell yeah, this is the stuff I go on this site for. It reminds me of my old Arabian Republic map, but you've certainly put your own spin on the idea of a democratic Arabia. I respect the grind.
