Link to 1992 leads to 2000, link to 2020 leads to 2017.
A lighter shade of water makes Russia look darker (LOL) but this darker sea makes everything look lighter and sharper by contrast. It'a a darker world but one with sharper contrasts, like maybe... Dick Tracy?
That seems like a bad idea. Making background colors (which the sea definitely is) too saturated can make the part of the map with information on it difficult to read. In any case, there's no reason to change them and doing so would create more work than any potential benefit would be worth.I propose a new water and glacier color.
No? The USSR was legally dissolved a few weeks before this map took place. We also don't have an outline for the EU, so a CIS outline is off the table too.And maybe add a Soviet outline, since the USSR only recently collapsed (it being 1992 on the map, after all)
