The NextGen OTL Worlda Series

@hadaril we need more ancient civilization maps. Specifically(these are all BCE):
- 3200 (Sumer)
- 3100 (Early Egypt)
- 2800 (Kot Diji)
- 2600 (Harappa)
- 2100 (Xia)
- 1600 (Mycenaean Greece and the Shang)
- 1400 (Olmec)
- 1100 (Bronze age collapse)
- 1000 (Zhou)
- 800 (Greek city states)
- 700 (Rome and Media)
- 600 (Maha Janapadas and fall of Assyria))
- 550 (Rise of Achaemenid Persia)
- 500 (Greek Golden age)
- 400 (Decline of Greece and Warring states)
- 320 (Alexander the Great)
- 250 (Parthia)
- 220 (Qin China)
- 50 (Roman Civil War)
- 100 AD(Height of Rome)
- 200 (Srivijaya)
- 300
Holy hot damn. Yea, I might be able to do a *few* of those (Likely 1450, 1350, 600, 500, 250, and 44 BC, and ~100 AD) as they have all been done in the past), but I really don't have the time to do all of those.

The maps show an island between Shanghai and Jeju, but i don't think there is actually any island there.
The worlda base map is all sorts of screwed up - Ashtagon has wrote more about that than anyone. It still works fine enough for a standard on the site, imo.

Thanks! If you want I could help (since merkmuds suggested that...) I have a bit more free time and I know a lot of history.
Remember, 2 is better than 1!

Alright, I just finished the 1350 BC map; I'm going to upload it with the rest of the ancient era maps in a few weeks once they are all done. They should be fairly quick.

Finished the 600 BC map, figured I'll upload that and the 1350 BC tonight; Full changelog:

Shameless self-bump 'cause no sticky :p.... I should really make a megathread with links to the big projects, and try to get that as a sticky

Anyways, I'm still working on the rest of the BC maps. They should be done by this weekend, I hope.

So, uh, maybe people've brought this up before, but on the wiki page for the worlda map series, almost all the maps have an unfinished New Hampshire-Vermont-Maine border

Update Log

February 22, 2018:
- Added 500 BC
- Added 250 BC
- (1776 Onwards): Fixed error with Vermont/New Hampshire/Maine Border

I hope you don't mind if I point out a few things to fix/discuss:

2000, 2017: Crimea is uncolored
Starting with 1861, I think: Did the Rebublic of China ever renounce their claims on Tannu Tuva, Mongolia and/or the Russian part of Manchuria? Afaik they didn't? Correct me if I'm wrong
2000, 2017: Turkmenistan has a few miscolored pixels
2000, 2017: Belize should be independent
1945, 1946: Is there a reason why the Equadoran claim dissappears in these two maps, only to reappear in the next one?

My bad on the miscolored pixels - I can fix those really quick - expect an update in the next few hours with those. Same with Belize - no clue how that slipped by me o_O.
The Ecuadorian Claim was another oversight by me. Expect it to be fixed in the next few hours as well.

1861 - I am not entirely sure, I based it off of previous Worlda Maps, none of which showed them maintaining that claim after 1861. I will double check that, however.

1400: there's an uncolored island in Japan together with one pixel

1400: an island in China gets uncolored though it was colored in the previous map.

Upon closer inspection, it seems it appears in 1350 BC, gets colored in 565 AD (despite China owning the land next to it for a while); in 814 China gets the island right to the west of Taiwan; in 843 both islands get uncolored, in 1000 the northern one disappears, reappearing in 1350...
Ok, listing everything is counterproductive, it'd be easier to just open all the maps and fix it

2017: Kosovo and Montenegro have the same color, is that correct?
1914-1980: what's this dotted line in the Northwest Territory of Canada?
1980: there is this one grey pixel south of Swaziland, presumably from the 1960 map
1900s-now: Should the Ilemi Triangle be shown as claims, perhaps? There's a border change shown between 1980 and 2000 there.
1980: Mauritania-Mali border is inaccurate
1914-1945, 2000-2017: no Vatican?
1946-2017: no San-Marino?
