Korea is around South Korea's level of otl, and they are non-aligned, because they have good relations with both China (who is American allied) and the USSR (who they see as the ones who liberated them).
It's a flawed democracy and basically a two party state. The CCP and Kuomintang are the only legalized parties alongside normal independents. Elections are *generally* free and fair, but considering only 3 political groups can compete, its still considered incredibly flawed. Also considering Kuomintang's latter policies, the age of vote from 18 was raised to 22 meaning a slightly smaller electorate. Prominent other ideological parties such as Liberalist, Third Way, Social Democratic, Monarchist parties are tramped down upon fiercely and brutally.

The Pakistani monarchy is basically like all commonwealth monarchies. Majority support, political indifference and little interference except yearly or boyewrly visits. Kashmir is defato Pakistani however relations are very strained with India with 3 Indo Pak wars taking place. 2 wars were Pakistani victories with 1 draw.
