It was the start of a mild spring day, as mild as a spring day can be in Siberia atleast. The first rays of the sun, slowly rising to chase away what few shadows were cast on the silent steppe. Far away from civilisation, barely having ever seen even human silhouette, in this land animals and plants alike rose in kind, to carry on the billion-years-old dance of nature. Until suddenly, an explosions shattered this peace, a shockwave travelling kilometers away. Animals fled, as the sound of fire, electricity and warping and crashing metal, filled the air. Until from the incriminated black-smoking ditch, rose unmistakable human forms.
"Comrades!"
And a cry of joy was heard.
"It worked!"
Comrades! I am honoured for the opportunity, to take part in the decision making and steering of our Union, Inspiration, Vanguard and Experiment for all the Oppressed of the Earth. I must apologise for only now making my own intervention, having missed the latest vote, owing my very recent access to classified documentation and even more recent appointment to this body. Having needed to catch up and inform myself on... the minutiae of our position, and latest developments. Yes.
Still, I wish to comment our decisions. Regarding the North Mexican Anarchy I believe the right decision was made, in supporting the motion to:
B) Aid local Socialist and Communsit Bandits and Warlrods, for a internal takeover.
Leaving our Mexican Comrades out to dry with no support, would have been an affront to all we have fought for, an insult to our Party and Marxism! It is our privilege and duty, as first successful revolution on this planet, to aid our Comrades, wherever they may be, in the best way we can.
However, while empathy may call for the most rapid end to the people's plight. And so a violent, military, action, may be appealing. Let us remember that Marxism while born from the sense of brotherhood and friendship all human beings naturally share, regardless of attempts to destroy it by greed. Is also a science. And so calls for a pragmatic, logical, scientific approach, to spread World Revolution.
It is already clear to all of us, that mustering the Workers' Red Armies as if in Crusade against Oppressors, would be counterproductive to achieving the fastest path to world liberation. It would unite like nothing before, the forces of Reaction, and end only in the annihilation of those of Revolution. As of now, too weak and scattered.
The same logic, applies to the current opportunity posed by the North Mexican Anarchy. While the Mexican Red Army may outmatch even the combined forces of all reactionary warlords and factions. Such brazen action would have undone much of the diplomatic effort we have so far exerted, in appearing harmless or atleast as defanged as revisionists, so that the powers of imperialism may remain mostly at eachother throats. Letting them even compete, to sell us the most rope to hang them with. An outright military intervention in Northen Mexico, would at the very least have scared the American bourgeoisie by revealing the Mexican revolutionaries teeth, and leave our New World Comrades vulnerable to a renewed Monroe Doctrine.
As of now, instead, the opportunity presents itself to drag the United States into a deadly quagmire of their own making. Their choice to ignore the self-determination of the Northern Mexicans, the inevitable exploitation of the workers by American Businesses, the occupation forces and local governments clearly bought by such interests turning a blind eye. All delegitimising the puppet Republics in the people's own view. Will offer ample opportunity and propaganda to recruit new revolutionaries. And launch what a rather unknown but militarily skilled Comrade of ours from China, Mao Tse-Tung, calls a Protacted People's War. This kind of low-intensity long-term conflict should not be foreign to our Mexican Comrades, being not dissimilar to the doctrines and experiences of the Zapatistas. But will instead catch the underfunded, bully-like, American Army, completely off-guard. The casualties and cost of occupation, will hopefully mine the bourgeoisie United States Republic credibility in the home front. Either leading to revolutionary conditions if the conflict persist for the next decades, or simply a retreat and victory of socialism over North Mexico.
And in the end, we all know well from our Liberal Predecessors in France, how a Liberation Spread by the Sword is one resisted and prone to rejection.
While the Conspiratorial or Cloak and Dagger mindset we have had to adopt may appear disgustingly Blanquist to us Marxists, the reality is no tool is to be discarded in aiding the spread of Revolution. And right now, discretion and plausible deniability are needed. More than forming genuinely Vanguard Parties, empowering sympathetic or allied unions and mass parties, fighting for Cultural Hegemony or creating a fait-accomplish parallel society with direct action.
Building our strength, to strike hard and fast when capitalism inevitable crisis and death throes begin.
Regarding the world wide economic crisis, as inevitable as the Tendency of the Rate of Profit to Fall, we should make sure our economy is not vulnerable to any such crisis of global capitalism. If we were crippled just as much as them, it would do us no good to have so patiently waited for an opportunity. And also, the very fact of our Union withstanding the storm or at the very least, our citizens suffering the least, would be a strong propaganda victory for world socialism.
Speaking of such easy image and moral victory, this also means our citizens and workers should not only enjoy every and equal amenities those under capitalism can, but also be able to do so even during crisis, while the exploited workers cannot, which is why regarding the question of Comrade Cola, I also believe we made the right decision, by supporting:
C) Like A but supported by our glorious Soviet Union State as well.
Going back to the question of documentation, I have found little mention regarding the British General Strike of 1926. Despite it having been a moment of almost ripe revolutionary conditions inside the very Old Heart of Imperialism and World Capitalism. While our focus the Imperial Periphery has been the correct one, preserving our strength by breaking the weakest links and chains while at the same time remaining mostly beneath the global bourgeoisie notice. We shouldn't ignore or discard out hand opportunities in the Imperial Core, for they are much rarer yet rewarding. Any promising conditions should be noticed, and opportunities evaluated.
As far as I am aware, as of now the German Republic and Iberian Republic show the most promise. With what is for all intents and purposes a United Front majority in the former, and growing direct action support in the latter. It is now a question, if such support will continue until the critical mass of revolution. Or, especially in Germany, by seeking the way of electoralism, it will be wasted and whittled by the establishment resistance to any radical action. The parties potentially lost, to revisionism. However if the crisis of capitalism became too great, or the established bourgeoisie lose their nerve and launch a pre-emptive counterrevolution. These will be perfect opportunities to springboard into Revolution, if one atleast partially by the ballot.
Yet at the same time, a revisionist but egotistically friendly Germany, cobelligerant in this Cold War against the former Entente, would also be more desirable than one lost to counterrevolution.
Maybe the most correct course of action, would be ensuring any rumors of a counterrevolutionary coup, be investigated by our own intelligence services. The Reichswehr infiltrated by sympathizers and agents. All to catch and neutralise any coup, before it materialises. Or ensuring, it will fail to be decisive, leading a Civil War where military intelligence and large scale defections to the United Front, will ensure a Revolutionary Victory.
