Speaking of Axis... I wanted to do a little thought experiment on what I think would happen if Germany won WW2. I didn't put much thought in the POD, but let's say that Enrico Fermi succeeded in making a Nuke and was able to convince Hitler to use it (Ignoring that Hitler was against "Jewish Physics" of course.) Its very optimistic in support of Germany (Germany would most likely collapse around the 1960s-1970s lmao) but what if Germany, and Fascism with it, thrived similarly towards Communism? Let's say that OTL "Neo-fascist" (Bolivia) and "Tropical Fascist" (Zaire) nations still exist, and, although not directly caused by Nazi Germany, are more prevalent and thrive because of the existence of Fascism. Other OTL nations that could also be called Fascist (Saddam's Iraq, Taliban Afghanistan) are also included because its my map and you cant tell me what to do. Enjoy the viewing experience! This map was published as the cover to an article in National Areographic covering a series of papers published by University of Tharsis linguists and anthropologists in the 3120s. Scholars of Earth's cultures had long noticed strong links between Earth's varying languages, but only in the late 3000s and early 3100s did leading researchers begin to acquire the knowledge necessary to attempt to start reconstructing possible common linguistic ancestors.
The radical proto-Atlantean theory connected two of Earth's largest established language families - proto-Amero-English and proto-Castilian - to a single common ancestor, likely spoken along the border of the two families in Texas or the Caribbean. The theory rests on relatively shaky evidence and is not fully accepted among professional linguists, but it does provide some answers to the puzzling questions of how the two language families, as well as some of their neighbors are so widely dispersed across the planet. The notion of cross-ocean migrations, or, more fancifully, competing planet-spanning empires, captured the public imagination and led to the theory getting a lot of attention. This article, not written by a professional linguist, suggests the proto-Atlantean migrations directly led to the exodus of the Slovenic and Turco-Germanic peoples from western Europe.
The high cost of travel to conduct anthropological research and the hostile conditions among much of the study area makes gathering further information a slow process. Nevertheless, the University and many of its competitors remain committed to continuing this research, and the upwell of popular interest is always a good thing as far as chances for grant applications go.

Like the map, but honestly placing the urheimat in America makes as much sense as placing the Indo-European urheimat in India or Europe (not that have kept some groups from embracing those theories in OTL). Also the whole Turko-Germanic language family, I can’t imagine how anyone would develop that language family.

Metropolitan Calhoun
A country of over a hundred million. Metropolitan Calhoun comprises the heart of the Callish Empire and features the Nations of Calhoun, Limcluey, Aberinthe, Borsott, the Hendelbarries, and the Larriott Isles. Calhoun is one of the most powerful states in Western Cepudara and controlled various territories across the 8 continents of the world during the 7th century of the Second Promise Era. The Greater Roberplan region houses the country’s capital and houses over 30 million people and is one of the world’s most important economic centers. Roberplan serves as the centerpiece of Calhoun’s transportation and high-speed rail framework that connects the major cities of Calhoun, such as Wilkes-Upon-Tame, Manceton, Bacliff, Hamston Coast, Norwich, Elysium, et cetera.
In the last 50 years, Calhoun has transformed into a diverse country, especially from a large wave of immigration since the end of the Second Promise Era in 689. The country’s economy has further diversified as a result, especially having a growing technological sector. However, the country is still feeling the effects of the Panthalassic War of 680 to 685, where important manufacturing centers such as Bacliff and Wilkes-Upon-Tame were bombed by the Zona-Burdans, and 1 million soldiers perishing in the conflict. The manufacturing and automotive industry suffered as a result added on with rapid economic mobilization ordered by the government. Importing of industrial goods from the much larger Concordian Confederation had further increased in frequency as a result until recently.
The country’s national government practices parliamentary democracy and is currently led by Prime Minister Strom McGrady of the National Union Congress. The current emperor, Adler III, handles the formation of government and the signing of bills into law. The N.U.C. serves as the country’s primary federation of trade unions and has historically been a force behind the fight for worker’s rights, and has been popular with urban and rural working-class voters in the western part of the country. Its opposition party, the Country Party, has since risen from a fringe party in the 670s to one of the country’s largest political forces. Led by former Prime Minister Greg Kritten, the party was in government for the last 10 years before voter fatigue set in. The Country Party comprises rural working-class and middle-class Canine voters who have developed intense post-war nostalgia for the Callish Empire. The party’s dominance kickstarted with the exodus of 20 MPs from the National Liberals defecting to the party between 684 and 688. The popularity of the National Liberals has since greatly suffered, and was once a massive political force comprising a wide school of beliefs. The fiscally liberal party still secures its popularity of middle and upper-class voters, especially Mustelid voters in Limcluey, but still maintains a large 3rd party status. One of the country’s true fringe parties, the Islander Republicans, pledge the removal of the Callish Emperor and the independence of the Hendelbarries.
Calhoun’s historical power has long since been replaced by its neighbor across the Panthalassic Ocean, the Concordian Confederation. The former colony of the Callish Empire has since evolved into the world’s most powerful country and still retains its connection to the Emperor in the form of a personal union. Calhoun still maintains its status as one of Cepudara’s most powerful countries alongside Latavins to the east. The country still projects its power, more recently in the form of sanctions against the nearby nation of Valokchia, which has since succumbed to the dictatorship of Serpiko Pavlovic.
The island has developed over thousands of years, from the migration habitation of people into a collection of fiefdoms. The fiefdoms would eventually unite against the Collegiate States late into the Firehand Era, approximately 200-300 years before the start of the Second Promise Era. Calhoun’s present form would come in the 640s when the government officially organized the nations of Calhoun into a federal state alongside other colonies across the world. This system of government exists today and still maintains relative confidence from the public.
