Here we have the world of Ward Moore's 1952 novel
Bring the Jubilee, which was touted as a "realistic" outcome of a Confederate victory in the Civil War. In this case, Lee winning at Gettysburg causes all of this to happen. The oversized steampunk CSA has annexed Latin America, abolished slavery, welcomes immigrants, and is on the brink of war with their greatest rivals, the German Union, formed when the German and Austro-Hungarian Empires united after their victory in the Great War. Meanwhile, the rump United States is impoverished, people sell themselves into indentured servitude, and most blacks there have fled back to Africa, as the union's citizens see them as the cause of the War of Southern Independence.
Oh, and the Confederates have time travel technology, which the protagonist uses to travel back to witness the Battle of Gettysburg unfold.
Did I mention the novel also takes place in 1952?
(I had to make some adjustments for the nations and colonies not mentioned)
