Free Irish Republic flag.
During the British Revolution (1789-1802), the country divided between Republicans, both iluminist and protestants and the catholic and monarchist majority along with the Dutch troops loyal to the king Francis II of Habsburg-Tudor-Orange.
The Free Irish Republic was born in 1790 after the king raised the taxes of the english and protestants minority in Northern Ireland.
Although it lasted only six years it’s legacy endures in the protestants of Ulster, that dreams with a protestants, republican Ireland.

Here are some nations, past and present on my world of Daeldrum. Some of them follow a trend by combining nations aspects from our own history. Spot them if you can.
The Carnolian Empire was the first empire to achieve global dominance over Daeldrum in the pre-dynasty era. Over 4,500 years ago the Carnolian Empire was founded by Regas. Regas was a man who lived a fair life in a farm town until the legend goes, the Carnolia bird gave him knowledge of which to build upon a utopia for all life. He would go on to become the first consul of the Carnolian Empire, that expanded rapidly across the plains of the Melnarannan Steppe. Using horses and formations, they were able to form the first landbased empire.
Generations of leaders would rule, and die in the Carnolian Empire that encompassed most of the world. The religion of Carnolia was based on the 4 cornerstones of the world. Truth, self evidence, Loyalty, and determination, that matched with the 4 winds belief of prior generations. For centuries, the Empire of Carnolia ruled the land and controled the world's trade, language, and economy. Over the centuries the language of the world evolved into one. The Carnolian dialect which combined aspects of the Henraic and Leso languages of where it originally came from. It forcefully assimilated all who opposed it.
Time grew, time fell, the empire grew corrupt. On the night of the full Malmoan eclipse and under the crescent image of Erina, the last Carnolian Empire, the last leader of Biofol was stabbed in the heart which lead to the end of the Carnolian Empire, 4,500 years ago of which all calenders and mythology would be based on in the future. The 4 symbols in the corners represent how the 4 winds have bowed to the Carnolia Bird, the most powerful and regal bird across the land, while the 3 sided star represents the ruling family of the Empire.
This empire lays the foundations for the modern era and the age after its collapse are called the grey period in which various smaller fiefdoms and nations jockeyed for control over the Empire's corpse.
The Helfanian Reich, also referred to as Helfania or Helfany. In the past their nation was dominated by their neighbors until their citizens had enough at a certain point in an economic disaster. Alfar Hinler, the leader of the "National Action" party seized control. They expanded the nations borders through blood, war, and slavery. After Hinler's death the nation rapidly modernized and liberalized, becoming what it is today. They launched the first man into space, and the first man on the larger of the 2 moons.
The main focus of their propaganda was the victory against the Czacharians, Polabians, and Avaronians. They fought in the Shadow war that lasted for 60 years with the Avaronians and their allies.
The United States of Avaronia was formerly an expansive empire that dominated and conquered other nations in centuries past. They got into various wars with others before 'federalizing', meaning, unifying all of their claims into the Empire around 100 years ago. They were fierce enemies with the Helfanians before, and after the " 3rd Global War" that occurred 75 years ago. Today, they still have their emperor but the emperor's power is reduced by a huge margin by the national parliament and senate. The current constitution was made by President Rightfield, who reformed the nation into what it is today. Rightfield, in his later years worked to create long standing peace between the Helfanians and Avaronians.
Rutheria is the largest and northern Most country on the planet. They have the most powerful military on the planet, but their economy suffers as a result. Most people have to serve in the military here, their leadership is oligarchical under a mask of 'democracy'. They have large forests and untapped resources, and many places in their territory many people have not visited since the territory is so vast in nature. They are not keen on outsiders and keep to themselves.
The second Global war that involved the Helfanian Reich had these alliances, with their respective allies.

2nd Flag of the California Republic (1834-1846) and the 1st Flag of the US State of California (1846-1861). Also used when California had seceded from the US during the American Civil War as California declared independence as the California Free State and rebelled at the same time as the abolitionist Federated States of America.
The red star and white background was from the first flag (the OTL California Lone Star flag, used from 1827 to 1834 ITTL) while blue was partly representing the Pacific Ocean and partly the US (as flag of California now includes red, white and blue).
From 1864 to 1869 California did not have any flag as it was under reconstruction (the US flag was used).
The 2nd Flag of the US State of California was the above one. Known as the "Sunset State". Used until the 1888 annexation of California by Mexico after “the International Punitive Expedition Against Slavery” (also known as the 4th Anglo-American War). US state of California had already lost the southern half of Baja California to Mexico after the Civil War. The remnant US state was divided in two after annexation to Mexico. Northern Baja California became a Mexican state under the name Baja California Norte and kept this flag. While rest of California would become the Mexican State of Alta California and returned to the Bear flag used from 1834-1864 with the bottom part being changed to red.

I once was in a hall that had a double headed bald eagle on the wall as a Masonic symbol. Always thought that one should see more play.

A US that is largely controlled by masons both in political and economic means through an elite class that masks a democracy is what it would be, and thank you.
I made a flag like that for an Alaskan polity in Medieval America. Haven't posted because I haven't gotten around to the writeup.
