Do we have any decent alternate flags of Venezuela, Columbia or Ecuador?
I've already created an alternate Ecuadorian flag:

Guess what I just got last night? A ton of new emblem overlays for Flag Maker! ...Slight problem, though: Flag Maker can only present so many at a time in the overlay selection menu, so the order in which the .ovr files are listed in the Custom folder changes which ones you can see (I need to test this more and see if I can find a workaround to this limitation). Furthermore, the Cloning function doesn't work for the new overlays, so you have to manually create a new identical overlay if you wanted a copy of one or something.

Still, despite these minor limitations, I've managed to get a lot of mileage out of a few of these new overlays so far! You can download the overlays here.

Anyways, onto the new flags I've made!:

EpeI4em.png

First one here is a complete revamp of my previous Azad Hind flag, now with a brand-new trident to serve as the Trishula! I also incorporated elements of my older Azad Hind design before my attempt at the Trishula version. (Due to busted image, here's a direct link.)

YBcxtT6.png

Next, a completely new design to replace my old Independent State of Rhodesia flag! Aside from the springbok and the shield, every emblem you see here is a completely new overlay! (Due to busted image, here's a direct link.)

XaIfGQH.png

This next one is a fun one: It's an Imperial Kemet flag - aka, modern Egypt if it went and decided to revive the old ancient religion!

OxKDq6W.png

Finally, the last one here is the flag of Valkist Germany, from the Kaiserreich spinoff mod Fuhrerreich. As for what Valkism is: think Left-Wing Fascism that actually gives a shit about economics and replaces racial supremacy with cultural supremacy - specifically pagan mythology. This leads to a lot of fun and weird/wacky stuff, ranging from Germany experiencing a Norse revival to Bolivia deciding to become the Incas again and go on a liberation spree of all of South America's native populations. (Due to busted image, here's a direct link.)

That's all I managed to create so far, but definitely expect to see more cool new stuff in the future! Until next time!

EDIT-1: Three of the four pics were busted for some reason. Should be fixed now... hopefully.

EDIT-2: Goddamnit, still busted! I have no idea why that is, so I'm just going to directly link the images instead of copy+pasting them here.

EDIT-3: Weird... the pics are busted here on a desktop screen, but they show up fine on a mobile device for some reason. Anybody else notice this?

So quick update: despite experimentation, I can't seem to get around the max-overlay-limit limitation with Flag Maker; as such, I don't have full access to every new overlay I have (of which I have 201 functional ones - there's two other's that don't display correctly). That said, there's still quite a bit I can work with in what I do have access to.

Now to not deprive you guys of new flags, I have a few to share for now, that take advantage of some of the new assets... incidentally, all these flags here are Fascist-themed, which is entirely coincidental:

9rojjMS.png

First one up, a simple revision of a generic Fascist flag I made using the fasces overlay that Flag Maker came with: this new version uses a more detailed fasces from the new overlays collection.

RZHgdjl.png

Next one here is sort of the same deal, a simplistic Fascist Saudi Arabia flag that used to use the old fasces overlay from Flag Maker: another new fasces (even more detailed than the one in the flag above this one) takes the old one's place.

B3Ug2yk.png

Lastly, a complete overhaul of an old "Neo-Iron Guard" flag design I had (which was horrendously ugly in comparison), with this new one using 18 copies of the same cross overlay from the crosses collection. BTW, the backstory behind this "Neo-Iron Guard" design is if, rather than dying out completely after WWII, the Romanian Iron Guard movement just went into a coma for 70+ years, inexplicably woke up one day in the modern era, and decided to adopt a newer 'Darker and Edgier' look... well, more so than they already were. Seriously, those guys were nuts.

That's all for now, unless somebody has figured out a fix/workaround/solution to the max-limit problem with Flag Maker. If you do, let me know!

...I should probably work on some Communist flags next time to balance out the glut of Fascist ones I've been putting out lately...

Some propaganda of Radio Riyadh.

Federation of Peninsular Arabia (FOPA)
a.k.a. "Saudiless Arabia"

It's a world with no Nasser, and Arab socialism, which means a stronger British and French colonial presence in the region.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia underwent a revolution in the 1970s, after its Oil Embargo triggered an great power intervention by the British and French troops. The colonialists set up an Royal Saudi Oil Company, which took 90% of oil profit to Britain and France, leaving the KSA with only 10%.

The puppet monarchy installed by the British was discredited, leading to Saudi Arabia itself losing its legitimacy. The republican resistance movements, lead by pre-war opponents to the King, popped up all over the KSA, using old flags of the pre-Saudi kingdoms of Nejd and Hejaz as rally. But the republicans quickly realized that they had to be united in the fight against the British and the puppet KSA.

Legend has it that the Flag of FONAH, or the Federation of Nejd and Hejaz was created out of two ragged and burnt flags, carried by two guerrilla groups from Nejd and Hijaz respectively, under a secret tent in the Arabian Desert. Together, the founding fathers of the new Federation laid out eight values for the new nation: Secularism, Progressism, Republicanism, Egalitarianism, Social Democracy, Arab Nationalism as well as National and Economic Sovereignty, represented by an eight-pointed star. Despite socialist elements in this new vision, and real Soviet arms flowing in, its leaders distanced themselves from Soviet Communism.

The Flag of the Federation of Nejd and Hejaz was indeed a carefully balanced design, with the red colour and star from the Flag of Nejd, and the red triangle, with the green and white bands taken from Hejaz. Some say the crescent was deliberately left out to denote the Federations' secularist tendencies.

It turned out for the UK that a costly foreign war was unpopular at home and broad. Guerrilla activities made it almost impossible to extract oil. President Nixon of the US went as far as coming to meet the leaders of FONAH in Yugoslavia and shaking hands with them in 1978. The British pulled out in the following year, bringing the Saudi royalty with them, and the FONAH flag flew over Riyadh.

Things looked promising for the new federation. Riyadh assumed OTL Cairo's role in Arabia's nationalist movements. One of the countries motivated by this new nationalism was the Kingdom of Yemen. After a shorter Civil War than OTL, the Arab Republic of Yemen sort to join the Federation.

A new country, the Federation of Peninsular Arabia, was founded.

The new Federal flag seemed like the old one with an additional band of red symbolizing Yemen. But it actually had its definitions rearranged.

The upper and lower red bands symbolized Najd and Yemen respectively, while the red triangle Hejaz. The green its nature and culture, in a shape symbolizing the peninsula, and the star it’s values. The green band in the middle symbolized Arabian Peninsula, with its gold linings the Yemeni sword.

Some propaganda of Radio Riyadh. *snip*

The flags for Nejd and Hijaz are the wrong ones: the one you used for Nejd is actually the flag of the Emirate of Jabal Shammar (aka the Emirate of Ha'il, or the Emirate of the House of Rashīd), while the one you used for Hijaz is the flag of the Arab Revolt (which, admittedly, was the template for nearly all modern Arab flags). The proper flag of Nejd isn't actually that too far off from the modern Saudi flag, and the proper flag of Hijaz is virtually identical to the Arab Revolt flag aside from the green and white bands swapped places.

And that is tonight's history lesson!

In a revolutionary mood, people would reject everything that bears a resemblance to the Saudis, and glorify the pre-Saudi era.

It’s in the link you gave. Swapping places would make it too similar to the flag of Jordan.

I once made a joke about a "Detroit Soviet Socialist Republic" whose origin I can't exactly remember. I decided to make a flag for it in FlagMaker and these are the results:
DetroitSSR.png

If anyone can find a more plausible entity which uses this flag, I would be very happy.

America becomes like 1920's China, around the 50's the Soviets pull up an Red Dawn as a "peacekeeping mission". While some parts of CONUS are somewhat pacified with some form of puppet government presence. Places like Detroit become absolutly hellish for the Red Army and friends. Somewhere around the 60-70 i dunno, Detroit is put under the direct control of the Regional Commander of the Great Lakes Assistence and Copperation Territory and his Red Army's forces, which rules the city and surroundings with iron fist like a fedual lord, "for the time being". As a fun fact, the Soviets send opposition that isn't dangerous enough to be killed or being sent to a Gulag as a penal conscript to Detroit or other places.
ASB as fug but fun.

so uh, i like two things: shitposting in fandoms, and the american civil war. i got hit with a burst of "creativity" while i was browsing the net and listening to some of those delicious civil war songs in youtube, and this is the end product

without further ado:

"I can make this march, and I will make the Whities howl!" – The Count of Areanne, Marshall of the Empire of Lancaster's XV Corps, alluding to the now-infamous Arcus Heights Campaign.

"The issue before the country is the extinction of our dear liberties. No man of common sense, who has observed the progress of events, and is not prepared to surrender their faith... can doubt that the time for action has come – now or never. The existence of our Oum-given Destiny is now in the crisis of its fate..." – An editorial from the Weissenberg Neptunian, shortly before the beginning of the White Roses Rebellion.

Why does this remind me of RWBY? :3

Also, you should state where you found it and link back, or people might accuse you of plagiarism.

Oh, you misunderstand--I made the flags myself lol, I meant I was inspired to make these while browsing shipping trash and listening to when johnny comes marching home

I saw Steve Earle five weeks ago when he came through on the Copperhead Road anniversary tour and I have been pondering ever since how that song might be different in an ATL, like my "Balance of Power" where Texas in independent and the CSA and USA never rejoined.

...I should probably work on some Communist flags next time to balance out the glut of Fascist ones I've been putting out lately...

I did say was going to work on some Communist flags, and so tonight I'm going to carry through on that promise and present to you some more flags!

...Okay, to be honest, only two of the four flags I have for tonight are 100% new - the other two are simply revamps of older designs I've shown before. Still, on to the show:

3JlYBYy.png

First up, a major redesign of my old Gran Colombian Socialist Republic flag, now 100% more ornate and detailed than the previous version... though to be honest, I'm not sure I'm satisfied with this new design; it may be too ornate for my tastes, too cluttered and busy compared to the previous version. What do you guys think? Here's the old version for comparison. Which one do like more? Let me know after this post.

kcnXG21.png

Now the second one here is another redesign, this time for my Central American Socialist Republic flag, with the central seal being replaced by a more simple design that does away with the cliched Hammer & Sickle + Red Star combination so commonly seen on Communist-themed flags. That said, I kinda liked the old design's central seal, it was pretty good in its own right. Here's the old version for comparison. What do you guys think? Do you like the new one or the old one more? Let me know after this post.

With the revamped designs out of the way, let's move on to a new one here: a flag for a Turkish Soviet Republic. Nothing too fancy, just a simple Hammer & Crescent variant of the standard Hammer & Sickle logo, giving this flag both continuity with the actual Turkish flag and symbolizing the changeover to the new regime. As for the gold bar on the right end of the flag... eh, I just put it there because it looked good and balances out the empty space. You can make up any sort of symbolism for it if you want (personally, I like to think of it as representing the Bosporus Strait).

Now for the last flag for tonight, here is a flag for a Pan-African Revolutionary Republic - exactly which country that is supposed to be, I'll just leave it up to your imagination: it's generally supposed to be for a generic Sub-Saharan Pan-African movement with both anti-colonialist and revolutionary socialist elements, so it can be plausibly used for any African nation south of the Sahara and/or for an African superstate comprising of multiple African countries.

That's it for tonight, I've kinda run into a 'writer's block' sorta thing when it comes to designing new Communist flags so far; I'll eventually figure out some more new designs at some point, but for now, I'm kinda spent. Until next time!

I like this version but would not have a pink cog. White or Black or even Grey.

Ooh, very nice! Looks better than the previous.

Interesting. Some sort of Greater Sudan or Islamic Ethiopia perhaps or an anti colonial West African superstate.
