Chapter 25: Nintendo Enters the BattleField - July - September - Year 2002
As time marched on so did Nintendo's deal with Electronic Arts become finalized. Electronic Arts would ensure that publishing rights to the Battlefield franchise would stay Nintendo's alone. Nintendo would also not try to buy back Rare if they wanted to keep the publishing rights to Battlefield. With this deal Nintendo knew it would have huge success in western markets with gamers.
Battlefield 1942 would be an online first person shooter made by Digital Illusions CE and published by Nintendo in the year 2002. There exists five infantry types that players could pick from:
Nintendo would show off gameplay of BattleField 1942 to the gaming press and gamers alike in the 2002 E3 expo.

"Looks very fun, but I doubt Mom would let us play it." Said Jamison
"Yeah. She probably would hate it." Said Gerald.
"That is fine, your old man is going to be playing this game for a long time. Maybe I should make an account on your console?" Said Dad.
"What are you going to name it?" Said the boys in Unison.
"How about Commander1974?, I will pick a fitting Icon to show how old school I am in the ways of video gaming." Said Dad
"Even dad plays video games, go figure." Said Jamison.
"Yeah it is funny how the NetDrive will get some use out of him." Said Gerald.

- Scout - has long range surveillance and help artillery spot targets but is not fit for close quarters combat.
- Assault - is the standard role and provides aggressive firepower to help units push the objective.
- Anti-tank - best against vehicles but weapons are not accurate against other infantry.
- Medic - able to heal himself and others but weapons have less stopping power than the assault.
- Engineer - can repair vehicles and place explosives against infantry and vehicles alike but is not as powerful as the Assault.
