It's very hard to read the city names placed in the ocean. Black on very dark grey.

Yes, the ocean is not at 100% opacity so when you click on it, the dark filter the forums apply as a background gets through itWhen you zoom in:

It's not grey - it's transparent. That's the standard "zoomed in picture background".When you zoom in:

Did the Pope and/or Archbishop care about the fact that Armenians and Copts followed Miaphysitism instead of Dyophysitism? What if Charlemagne and Irene married as planned?

What if Britain won the War of 1812 decisively?
Well that will change some things. How much longer will it last though? Four centuries is Alexander to Augustus. The political state of Europe, Anno Domini 1280

No cap, idek what those two words mean. But 478 years gives ample time for any inter-faith issues to be resolved.Did the Pope and/or Archbishop care about the fact that Armenians and Copts followed Miaphysitism instead of Dyophysitism?
I wonder how this empire would even work with Merovingian/Carolingian succession tradition, considering they divide the realm between all sons. What if Charlemagne and Irene married as planned?

My two cents? "Christendom" here probably refers to the Roman Church. England still might be a Christian state, but probably went down a different path. Why are the British Isles not considered part of Christendom, especially considering that Scandinavia is?

I really like this concept a lot. I have to wonder how language in the Western Empire would evolve; would it be shades of late-Dominate era and/or arguably OTL China with a written/spoken language diglossia WRT Romance languages, or would a pan-linguistic koiné evolve? Also, what of the Continental Germanic languages and Arabic? What if Charlemagne and Irene married as planned?

wouldn't Ireland be part of the Christendom, due to them being Christians ? Also, how did the Balts unite and how did the Estonians conquer the Livonians, South Estonians and Latgalians ?What if Charlemagne and Irene married as planned?

I have a feeling James meant "Christiandom" as in states or polities allied to (or at least not excommunicated by) the pope and the Empire.wouldn't Ireland be part of the Christendom, due to them being Christians ?
