"Maquah would do whatever he could to secure his lovers from cheating on him again, and you can secure your internet privacy with HaidaVPN."
You can bet I'd do that
But honestly his story is pretty tragic, my props to you for that
Guy was a shy but highly talented kid who studied a lot, actually opposed harems, trusted his friends, believed the "liberal" ideals of the Great House and supported peace with his neighbours
What he got? Was bullied his entire childhood, his dear sibling die, his father died and he wasnt even allowed to
consider waging war against the murderers
Then he tried to keep the peace anyways only for the neighbours to take advantage of that and keep raiding him while one of his best friends sleept with his dear wife
Yeah I can see how that broke the camels back
Then to see that same sweet kid become the biggest bully of all, a warmongering tyrant who killed his wife and tortured his friend into commiting suicide, brought back the harem with epic proportions as a tool of humiliation and his ideals led to the enslavement of millions...
Yeah it's pretty tearjerking, I feel a lot for the guy
Yet the "Mad Bear" still is the one who brought his nation to modernity and made it what it is, for better or worse, having a legacy comparable to that of Washington or Meiji
And that's one chapter
You did a fantastical job here my dude
Also while I did brought up Caligula for the memes, his story
is in some ways similar
He was a very promising kid, "Caligula" was a sweet pet name the legions gave, the people loved the boy
And honestly he did much for Rome, from canals to annexing Mauritania to ensure the supply of grain to Rome to making the preparations for the conquest of Britannia in order to end the britonic raids in Gaul
But what happened to him? Oh nothing! He just had his brain filled with lead and atempts made on his life more times than one can count, mostly with poison, giving him Stalin levels of crazy and when you think things couldnt be any worse for
the kid who has too much power his beloved sister dies, who also happens to be his lover(is incest a sign he already got the crazy? Who knows) so thats a double critical hit on his little head
Bam! We got the Caligula we all know and love
Thats not to say I excuse his actions or think he couldnt have choose to be any different, but a lot of these things did influence who he became much like what happened to our boi Maquah made who he is as much as his own bad choices and maybe if it didnt happen someone like Caligula might as well have been know as "Julius Caesar II"(since that was his
actual name) for legitely ruling well rather than "Little Boots the crazy"
All in all, great writing
