Richard Benfleet MP (LAB); Sheffield Hallam.

A Major in 1 RIFLES until he resigned his commission when selected as the Labour candidate to challenge Nick Clegg. Richard Benfleet, a graduate of the University of Sheffield, joined the Army at 20 and saw active service in Northern Ireland and Iraq. A descendent of the extinct Earldom of Benfleet in Essex, his family traces its history of military service to the Peninsular Wars.

He was first elected to the Commons in 2015 and joined the Shadow Defence team in 2017.

Out of interest did anyone ‘get’ this - trying to work out how obtuse/niche posts can be

“The intentions of the attack are to hit the enemy where he will feel it most and to show the Americans what Bomber Command can do”

Replacing piston engined Mosquito’s, the Westland Waterloo was designed around the same concept as its predecessors; dispensing with defensive armament while providing room for a substantial bomb load, fitting two of the most powerful engines available, and wrapping it in the most compact and aerodynamic package possible.

Not only tasked with marking targets for the Vickers Victory’s of the Strategic Strike Force, the Waterloo’s worked in concert with the Tactical Air Force in putting down the Officers Revolt in the Republic of Novgorod ahead of the arrival of the International Peacekeepers - led by an American General.

Across the Chutes Saint-Antoine from the city of the same name, an English-Canadian city named Albion(OTL Minneapolis), was later founded after word came out of the French-Canadian hub's natural success. Though, due to the west bank's flatter geography and aesthetically-pleasing lakes, Albion quickly surpassed Chutes Saint-Antoine in population and gained the interest of multiple lakeside resorts.
The image below depicts one such lakeside resort on Lake Mendoza(OTL Bde Maka Ska) during its peak success on a typical early 1900s Summer day.

So, in this TL the maple leaf flag was adopted 60 years earlier than in OTL? And with the same incorrect number of points, too.:winkytongue:

lel, good eye, totally skipped my mind.:coldsweat: Though the problem with the number of points appears to be due to a mixture of waves of the flag and it's distance obscuring the detail.

The Tannenberg Memorial

A monument to German soldiers who fought at the 1914 Battle of Tannenberg, the first Battle of the Masurian Lakes and the medieval Battle of Tannenberg, the structure was completed and dedicated in 1927. Built in a manner reminiscent of the Teutonic Knights, it had eight 20 metre tall towers in an octagonal lay out and incorporated the burial of 20 unknown German soldiers.

In March 1943 it was the location of the Tannenberg Declaration, alternatively known as the Declaration on the Future of the Germanic Peoples, signed by Germany and Austria. 5 years later, the declaration would form the core of the Zentrumpakt, uniting central European nations.

Sir Charles Chaplin and Albert Einstein, 1931. After a brief career as an actor, Chaplin returned to University to study physics; he is credited with the so-called "Many Worlds Theory" and the idea that the Universe is an artificial simulation.

Here is ATL sketch of the Second Middle Passage except instead of US Upland Southerners moving their slaves to the Deep South, it is a huge wave of immigrants from the independent Commonwealth of Virginia migrating with their slaves to buy land in the Deep South of the Carolina Confederacy(OTL both Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississipi).

After reading up on the history of Virginia and the meaning of its flags, I've remade this ATL sketch with a more accurate flag.

Famed Scientist, Albert Einstein. He was one of the many scientists working on the Manhattan Project who got kidnapped by the Killer7, he was kidnapped in 1943 and was forced to help with Japan’s atomic bomb project as did other Allied scientists and engineers.

The first atomic bomb test by the Imperial Japanese Navy in 1945 (took place on one of the Micronesian islands), it was given the name 'Fūjin'.

Yoshio Nishina, a Japanese physicist. He is known as "the founding father of modern Japanese physics research" and “the father of atomic warfare”. He led the efforts that gave birth to Japan’s atomic weapons program (code name 'Project Amaterasu').

Napoleon V, Emperor of the French Empire (reigned from 1881-1924) poses for an picture before the Great War ignites. His diplomatic blundering during the Rhine Crisis drove the greatest empire in the world in a war against the North German Confederation, The United Kingdom, and the Austrian Empire. His only allies in the war were Spain, the Congress of Poland, and a handful of Italian and Balkan puppet states.

After the British-German force occupied Paris, the king was forced to step down. France was divided up and occupied, it’s colonies taken, and Brittany become a dominion of the UK.

A dapperly shaven Virginia President, Abraham Lincoln, gives an inspiring speech after a hard-fought but victorious battle, the Battle of Perryville, against the revolting regions. The speech was so influential that later generations would begin to refer to it as the Perryville Address and would represent the approaching conclusion of the Virginian Civil War.

With the recent victory on the Javanese Front, the Party now estimates that the war with Oceania may come to an end by early 2085. Pictured below are just two of the many brave soldiers in the People's Liberation Army who have brought great honour to this country.

With Oceanian forces in disarray and the recent signing of the Friendship Treaty with Eurasia, we can confidently say that our Greater Democratic East Asian People's Republic will ultimately prevail against our age-old and hated foe.

Former King turned supervillain Edward Windsor, prime suspect for the recent theft of the crown jewels of several European monarchies (including, but not limited to : Britain, Spain, Italy and Greece). He is believed to be hiding out somewhere in the Australian outback, most likely a massive secret lair drilled deep into Ayer's Rock (Uluru). Diagnosed kleptomaniac and sociopath, heavy signs of megalomaniacal narcissism.

Proceed with caution, Agent 700. Don't let the bastard slip away.
