"And introducing Gukpard, current head detective of all things Hearts of Iron related"So, I discovered something that is a very old Hearts of Iron trivia, since it's not kaiserreich related, I gonna put on a spoiler.
If you played hearts of iron 2, arsenal of democracy or darkest hour, a hearts of iron game, and you liberated the CSA after invading the USA, you got this government:
The man on the left was supossed to be Earl Long, the brother of Huey Long.
However, this is Earl Long:
And this is his theme song, 'cause every poppie needs one:
As you can see, he is not the man on the photo. I didn't knew Earl Long nor Huey Long at the time, so I didn't cared. Time went on and then Kaiserreich was released for Darkest Hour, and with it came Huey. After it was released for HoI IV I saw earl, and remembered of that goofy strange Earl Long, who was he? Was another person with the same name? Why he looks so different?
(this without even counting the fact that Earl Long like Huey was not a dixiecrat, they should have used Strom Thurmond or other uberracist for the CSA).
I began to research, and then found this gallery, from the glorious year of 2004 when I still had hope on the future, but here the interesting thing: There is this theater play there called "Earl Long in purgatory", where we can find Huey Long most well known impersonator, John “Sput” McConnell, and we can deduce that since he have been Long in TV shows and movies, he knows Earl, and that is why he was decided to play Earl Long on this play. The play came in 2004, hearts of iron 4 began development in 2004 and was released in january 2005, so with this I can connect the ideas:
The paradox team developing hearts of iron 2 was finding random politicians to put on the game, you even had a real life polemic since they used a minor WWII general as a fascist politician, triggering his still alive son to create a account on their forum to complain about it. The KR team found Huey, but he was dead and so they decided to use his brother. All pictures of Earl Long you can find on google image today are poor, so I presume they found terrible pics that couldn't be edited back in 2004, but at the same time the Columbia Theater finished airing the "Earl Long in Purgatory" theater play, so the team found the picture of John McConnell and tough he was Long, and so they used it:
And so our fat Earl Long was created. After HoI2 ministers were ported to Arsenal of democracy, and then ported again for Darkest hour, they kept using the same anachronistical photo.
Who was the minor ww2 General?

One of the focuses after the reclamation is about gettimg them back, as they were seized by the government and distributed to people (alltough I'm skeptical it was the people who received them, I believe it went to party members). What ever happened to the homes of British nobles after the 1925 revolution?
