I think a solid gold background would work best myself, but a darker shade than the one you used before; blue doesn't go well with black (but don't tell Estonia I said that).
More like this then?

My other idea was to counterchange it, but I have yet to find a good way to do it in GIMP. This was all I could manage, and required a lot of workarounds that kind of bloated eagle on the inverted half.
I'll admit, flagmaking isn't one of my strengths, but here's my attempt...
Try to host your picture at www.imgur.comReally? It works for me.

Here it is. Sorry for CoA, this is the first flag I've done.
EDIT: It doesn't show up, does it?

I didn't think so until you said so. Now I can't unsee it.Anyone else think that eagle looks more like a dragon?
A Socialist/Communist state within the United States in a TL I am planning.
Mwhaha!I didn't think so until you said so. Now I can't unsee it.
A quickie I did last night. The texture doesn't really look all that good sized up like this, but oh well.
A random flag I drew up.
You can't just take the symbol of the North Korean Workers' Party and slap it on what's supposed to be an American flag. Unless the United States has developed a tradition of ideogramatic calligraphy when I wasn't looking, why would anything in the US by symbolised by a Far Eastern calligraphy brush?
More like this then?
Something along those lines. I've fallen in love with the Burgundian colour scheme.Ooh Grand/Arch Duchy of Burgundy?
And the texturing isn't too bad.
Very nice despite the pastel shades.
Some Arctic or Antarctic State/alliance?
