In the time before the AH.com General Elections, 2009, the newly proclaimed Vicariate Estates of Alsace-Lorraine held their first election. Voting began on July 10, and will have continued until July 13.

This election featured the first appearance of the EGO Coalition in an election; in fact, four of the five entities contesting the election were coalitions. The only exception was the Yorkshire Socialist Party. The five contenders were:

• FFF/EP: Coalition of the Federalist Federation of Federalists and the Escucheonist Party
• YSP: The Yorkshire Socialists
• EVIL/SS: Coalition of the EVIL Party and the Stranger Syndicate
• EGO: A coalition of the Fascist Fascist Bastard Facist Party, the Hashasheen Syndicate, and the THATGROUP Party, all newcomers to the political scene.
• DISPPR/BBP: Coalition of the Democratic Imperal Soviet People's Party of Reform and the Boring Bureaucrat Party, both newcomers

Another point of notability is the abandonment of the “Douglas method” for tabulating the votes; Election Leader LightInfa instead chose to avoid dropping the below-threshold parties, allowing for less anti-small-party discrimination.

Final results of the election:

• FFF/EP: 26 votes (30.95%)
• YSP: 7 votes (8.33%)
• EVIL/SS: 30 votes (35.71%)
• EGO: 9 votes (10.71%)
• DISPPR/BBP: 12 votes (14.29%)

Therefore, the seats were distributed thusly:

• FFF/EP: 2 seats
• YSP: 0 seats
• EVIL/SS: 2 seats
• EGO: 1 seat
• DISPPR/BBP: 1 seat
