WI: Fifth Beatle

Hi, do any of you think that it would be possible if John, Paul, George and Ringo decided to add a fifth member in 1969? To make the live performences better (Becuase they would probably tour in 1969-1970) and make the studio a more comfortable place, the infamous Get Back sessions got a bit less shit when Billy Preston helped them.

Who would join? Billy Preston? Eric Clapton? Brian Jones? Or anyone else?

I'd say Billy Preston, he played a major role on Let it Be.

Clapton joining them butterflies away Blind Faith and maybe Derek and the Dominos. Wonder how much John and Paul would allow his songs in. No "Presence of the Lord"? No "Bell-Bottom Blues"? No "Layla"?

... And he'd be competing with George for more than Pattie's hand. Awkward.
