UK sized Congressional Districts

I suggest that we do California as a collaborate map. Because I imagine doing 496 districts for just one state is an insane effort.

Here's a link for California. I'm doing some of San Diego and I recommend avoiding county splitting where possible.

EDIT: Since this thread is public on the internet, I recommend saving the .json file once you're done editing to counter potential vandalizing.

North Carolina is completed, "Carolina" just got clipped off the name when placed in the table.
Anyway I finished Hawaii.
I treated each of the 4 counties as their own things and assigned all leftover seats to Honolulu County. Hawaii County was closer to 2 seats than 3.

I agree. County splitting should be not required at all except for some select counties. Lemme run the calculations and I'll see where they'll be necessary.

Counties smaller than Napa (137k in 2019 estimate) would likely need to be split.

Looks good. This is per 2010 census, right?

@Gian
When you do Massachusetts, you should make the islands their own electoral district similar to Orkney and Shetland.

They’re actually too small for that (even when considering the +/-5% range. Though I did try (and fail) to emulate the Massachusetts Bay/Plymouth border for my CDs, so.....

My instinct would be to them a joint seat regardless, but failing that, attach it to Barnstable County, specifically the closest land to it.
