Techological Progress with a Continued Cold War?

While we know of some technological progress made during the Cold War (and that I gathered from this forum that the Cold War possibly held back progress in some fields), how advanced would TTL's 2017 be in comparison to ours had the Cold War lasted far longer than OTL's and into the present day (with a POD after 1945 of course just for the sake of creativity)?

at this point it would be kind of well sad.

The soviet union simply could not compete with the free world when it came to electronics and would continue to fall further and further behind. Still deadly still dangerous but tech would continue to get better and better in the free world.

I'm not sure if the USSR would completely fall behind the West in such a TL, there were many ways to keep themselves from doing that, especially PODs involving the death of Brezhnev or at least shortening the era of stagnation his rule entailed.
