Buddy Holly on his 1968 European tour, following his album which most critics called “His most daring and experimental album yet” (1968)

One of the most popular live albums, the Beach Boys “Live At Monterey” would follow their most critically successful album yet “SMiLE” while Brian Wilson had initially opted out of the appearance due to nervousness, he made a surprising appearance singing “Surf’s Up” (1967)

Being their most critically and commercially successful singles yet, at the beginning of 1971, they had grown enough respect in the industry to be seen as serious musicians and not just a manufactured pop band. Dolenz, being part Native American, was the most enthusiastic recording this and put his all into it. And that paid off, as when it was released it had shot to #1 (1971)

How do you think Paul Verhoeven would portray the film's villains?

What I mean is, would these historical Muslim forces be like stereotypical caricatures like in True Lies or would try make them similar to the Crusaders- a mix of true believers, bandits, and swords for hire?

Btw, I would have loved to seen Arnold do this kind of picture before he became too old. He's actually recovering from heart surgery at this time.
😎👌👍

Joaquin Phoenix, seen above as the titular Batman of Darren Aronofsky's and Frank Millers 2005 film Batman Year One, which would be praised for the realistic portrayal of a crime fighting vigilante, and would earn Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar for his performance as the Taxi Driver, Dirty Harry inspired vigilante. The film would also feature Clarke Peters as the seasoned garage owner and friend of Batman Big Al, Jennifer Connelly as the dominatrix and burglar Selina Kyle, Bryan Cranston as the tired and depressed detective Jim Gordon, Christopher McDonald as the corrupt police commissioner Gillian Loeb, and a cameo appearance from Jared Leto as a mysterious, giddy and green haired criminal...

(Another ISOT one, May or may not be related to the last one.)

Italian nuclear weapons during the Italian-Soviet Crisis, where the Italian Kingdom (from the Footprint of Mussolini universe) threatened to attack the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Red World), due to the reputation of Communism in its (and several others nations that came along) home universe. Eventually they would stand down after several other powers talked them into calming down, assuring them that they were not the same ones they knew, although Italy would refuse to open diplomatic relations with the USSR, showcasing the history of communism in its World as to why. Other problems Italy would have to deal with in the the early years would include riots caused by ‘politically agitated’ groups, and a resurgent Slovenian nationality movement.

Italian actor Giuseppe Cocchi playing the role of Captain Alfonso Crivelli in the mid 2000’s Italian TV series, “Attraverso le generazioni” (Through the Generations).
The series had three seasons with thirty episodes per season with each season telling the tale of one of the generations of the fictional Crivelli family, a family of loyal fascists who dutifully serve their motherland through the trials of war. The first of the generation, Captain Alfonso Venusto Crivelli, fights in the Balkan Wars, the Second World War, and the Chinese War. He is a tough no nonsense officer and advent supporter of the Jewish people (as he himself is half-Jewish).

Alfonso with an officer of the defeated Wehrmacht forces in Salzburg, Austria during the Italian seizure of the city.
The second generation, that of Giovanni Crivelli (Alfonso’s son, who was ten years old when his father went off to fight in the Balkans) chronicles Giovanni’s role as a military advisor/trainer to the Israeli army during the Second Arabian War culminating in his decision to join in combat the young Israeli men and women whose training he was in charge of when news of the Yom Kippur Rocket Attacks reaches his barracks.
The third generation details the military service of Alfonso’s grandson, Marco, who fights in Italy’s ill-fated colonial war in Ethiopia. Marco sees the horrors of the war and even participates in atrocities against Ethiopian natives. The series ends a couple of days after the thermonuclear strike on Addis Ababa as Marco reflects on the things he’s seen and done. He finds he can’t go on living with the guilt and so after bidding his comrades farewell, giving his best friend a letter for his sweetheart back home in Naples, Marco walks off the side of a dirt road and shoots himself in the head.

I can see that the Cage and Di Caprio families have contributed much to Italian cinema as much as they have American cinema :p

Publicity shot for Star Wars, starring Elvis Presley, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamil. It would revive Presley's film career and would kick off the Star Wars franchise.

A riot being fought in Tel Aviv (above) and Munich (bellow) between fascists and communists, with local police trying to quell the fighting. Just as much as the appearance of nations from realities where Fascism and other far-right ideologies were normalized was met with shock, disgust, and/or outrage, just as many nations were disgusted with the appearance of nations from realities where Communism and other far-left ideologies were normalized or not as hated. These have put strains between various nations, most famously the Kingdom of Italy and Israel, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, with the two nations believing the Soviets are a ticking timebomb that will not only try to conquer the world, but unleash another Holocaust upon the World's Jewish population. On the other hand, the USSR simply points to Blackshirt Italy's involvement in the Holocaust in another reality, with many Soviets saying that it isn't fair to be accused of doing crimes they never did (atleast in the USSR's home reality, compared to Italy and Israel's reality), while its okay to handwave when another nation's alternate counterpart does something similar. Regardless of any reason or logic, the nations' relations remain cold, and the public continues to debate, argue, and even fight amongst the morality of following such ideologies.

Many "Breadtubers" and other left-leaning communities on the internet denounced the "soft on the far-right" nations, with at best saying that the people living their simply should be educated about their problematic views on history and beliefs, or at worst advocating for the assault of anyone from those nations, regardless of their actual political beliefs. Ditto for those on the Right. Even stuff like internet memes and parodies would cause controversy, with constant flame wars arguing the morality of 'light-heartedly' portraying ideologies like Fascism, Communism, and others, regardless of context, i.e comedy.

Although everybody still pretty much agrees Nazis suck.

Ljubljana-Slovenia.jpg.optimal.jpg

The capital of Slovenia, Lubiana, from the year 2020. The Slovenians and Italians, while being better than that between Rome and Moscow, the history of war crimes inflicted upon the Slovenes by Italian soldiers in Italy's history has caused significant controversy amongst Slovenia's population, with many calling for Italy's government to fully apologize for their crimes. On the other hand, many fascist and far-right Italians have demanded the invasion and "reintroduction" of Slovenia into Italy proper, seeing it has Italia's rightful land. This has also resulted in a few 'faux invasions' by football hooligan-Esque blackshirts, who have driven into the nation and deliberately started riots and fights, hoping to start an outrage and ruin the already tense relations between Rome and Lubiana.

José Carlos Lula da Silva, the younger brother of ex-President Lula who caused a lot of controversy when he said in his Twitter profile that every man at home has to be supported by a woman, this statement caused a lot of upheaval for all married women who labeled him Brazilian Karl Marx, today lives in a tiny place with 2 dogs and a cobra, where he says he is his spiritual mother.

Elvis Presley (right side) in one of his countless movie appearances and cameos throughout the 80s and 90s, this one in Home Alone in 1990, as a manager of a traveling polka band. Who helps Kate and the rest of Kevin's family get back home to Kevin. This was his 2nd to last appearance in a movie before his death in 1993 of heart disease.
