[COMMISSION] The Ibtaljauz Star System
A thousand years ago the many earth like planets of the system received a myriad of peoples through portals from a variety of anachronistically divergent regions. The second millennium of Ibtaljauz is starting to see the beginnings of the space age and large scale inter-planetary exchange in culture and trade. Conflict is sure to follow in the coming century as space technology develops further.

New European Kingdom:
A set of people from Europe, North America, Latin America, Australasia, Southern Africa and the Levant.
The benevolent hegemon of the Alliance of the Occident, or so they posture themselves at least.

Vitelium Kingdom:
The non-Latin Italic tribes of history.
Vitelians are eager to prove that they are better representatives of the Italics than the Romans ever were.

New Erythrean Empire:
Select groups of Semitic, Egyptian, Berber, other Afro-Asiatic and non-Semitic Middle Eastern peoples from throughout history.
New Erythreans are rather divided by all the nations living inside their borders. The Israelites are the most spread out throughout the continent.

Greater Balkan Confederation:
A diverse group of Paleo-Balkan peoples including: Ancient Macedonians, Dacians, Illyrians, Liburnians, Messapics, Mysians, Paeonians, Phrygians and Thracians.
The Balkanese are the most open minded and diplomatic people of the whole Aryan League.

Anatolian Empire:
Select group of peoples from the historical Indo-European speaking Anatolian peoples.
The Hittites are considered to possess the quintessential character of the Anatolians.

Aryastan Empire:
Select group of Iranic peoples and people of the Indian subcontinent from throughout history.
The citizens of Aryastan are particularly contemptuous of the Weltreich's claim of Aryan identity and fantasize about humiliating the Germanics sometime in the future. The AotO is to serve as practice before the Aryans move into the bigger pond.

Semorian Union:
People from the Middle East and Australia. An ethnic hodgepodge of Semorians, Magyarabs, Jews, Greco-Egyptians, Mozarabs, Armenians and other Middle Easterners (ImDeadPanda).
Semorians have a long history of crusades and holy wars. They are also the most jingoistic of the Aryan League and have often suggested conquering the Blue Horde before the AotO.

New Iberian Kingdom:
White Latin Americans who where expelled by mestizo and pardo pan-nationalist revolutions throughout Latin America.
The New Iberians are having a serious quandary over the status and use of the Portuguese language.

Keltokoi Confederation:
The Celtic tribes of history anywhere from Galatia to Ireland and Iberia.
If the Celts of Keltokoi weren't surrounded by different factions they would surely break into a civil war.

Valyrian Freehold:
A people group with a distinctive look who come from a land far far away.
People from other member states of the Aryan League often take vacations in Valyria. Many Valyrian women accuse them of sex tourism.

Altunuk Khanate:
Select group of West Eurasian Turkic and Uralic speaking peoples from throughout history.
The Altunuks have the most Asiatic features of all the Terzomian nations and are considered very exotic both in appearance and in culture.

Wendish Empire:
Slavic tribes from throughout history.
The Wends are ruled by an absolute tsar who rules over the Slavic peoples with an iron fist.

Balthean Kingdom:
Baltic tribes from throughout history.
The Baltics are mostly conservative agrarians who wish to stay out of world politics.

Teutonic Kingdom:
Germanic people migrating out of the Mongol World Empire (Superpowers).
People in the Teutonic Kingdom are extremely spread out and much of the land is unsettled wilderness.

Xrohukasi Kingdom:
Select people from the tribes and nations of the Caucasus region from throughout history.
Xrohukasi are very clannish(inbred) and very violent amongst themselves. Rebellion would be the norm if the King didn't manage to keep the economy relatively stable.

Euronesian Kingdom:
A mix of Europeans and Polynesian & Micronesian peoples.
The Euronesians are considered to be the most warrior like people in the AotO. Many novels have been written depicting Euronesian men as the noble savages that females all over the system dream about.

New Barbados Republic:
People descended from insular Celtic slaves.
Mostly emancipated Irish and Highlander Scottish slaves from the New World with a lot of kids and not a lot of money.

New Transvaal Republic:
Refugee White South Africans from "Atlantropa 2012", White Africans & Slavs from TL-444 and Europeans from "2322 the Legacy of the Geo War" expelled by Africans and Arabs respectively (Zauberfloete21).
Authoritarian, paranoid and militaristic folk who are only kept on the leash by the New European Kingdom.

New American Empire:
A federation of 92 nations. They have the second most advanced space fleet which is slowly getting armed for "defensive purposes".
(And here is the big section which you have to type in the infobox in columns but without the color boxes: sta.sh/0n6pvnc28mm)

Firanji Caliphate:
A mix of Europeans and Middle Easteners.
Recently re-Christianized but the emperor remains the head of the church, though he is reconsidering the caliphate designation.

Franko-Roman Khanate:
A mix of European and Altaic peoples.
The Khanate holds a very strange combination of a senate and a kurultai to make political decisions.

Weltreich:
Germanic, Latin and Slavic people from throughout the history of the Vereinigte Staaten Von Erde of the "Thousand Year Reich" (QuantumBranching).
The strongest state in the entire solar system, and know it. Other planets and states are already trying to form political blocs to counter potential imperialism by the Weltreich in the future.
They refer to themselves as Aryan despite the vast majority of them having no Indo-Iranian roots.

New Brazilian Republic:
A mix of Europeans and people of color from around the globe. A very mixed race group.
A densely populated planet with a lot of caramel colored people living in giant metropolitan jungles where hundreds of millions congregate into megaregions.

Hevbelian Empire:
A distinctive group of peoples who claim descent from the biblical Abel and hence call themselves the Abelites.
They are known for their racial chauvinism that exceeds that of even the Weltreich.

United Gipanian Nations:
Select groups of peoples from fictional worlds originating from the Oriental civilization.
Many people with exotic features and questionable hair colors. Gipanians are amongst the most advanced in space technology of the whole solar system.

United Terran Nations:
Select groups of peoples from fictional worlds originating from the Western civilization.
The Terrans have the only credible space force fleet out of all the states and they are fully intent on using it to bully the Weltreich.

Drakenaar Republic:
A mix of the Homo Drakensis and their Homo Sapiens concubines from North America, Middle East, Europe, Australasia, Latin America and Eurasia.
Drakenaars are aggressively trying to posture over their collective insecurity concerning their maternal lineage by identifying strongly with the genetic superiority of their paternal lineage.

Kalvan Federation:
Different groups of Trans-Pacific Indo-Europeans (The Kalvan Series).
Kalvanians are holding big plans for space colonization once the technology gets developed far enough.

Avalonian Kingdom:
People from the Middle East, the Americas, Barlinia and Australia. An ethnic hodgepodge of Europeans and some mixed/mesties people (ImDeadPanda).
Often seen as the most peaceful planet with a high standard of living even amongst the lower classes.
Major mono-ethnic groups: 19.00% Anglo-Celtic, 17.02% German, 13.58% French, 11.00% Spanish, 5.51% Italian, 4.32% Mixed, 4.30% Dutch, 3.39% Portuguese

Eurasian Commonwealth:
A diverse mix of Europeans and Oriental Asians.
Very productive and technocratic people. They use English as lingua franca and practice all major christian denominations including some syncretic schools of thought. Eurasian women are considered to be the most beautiful in the entire solar system.

Norteno Latin Union:
Mixed nation of Latin American, Germanic and Anglo American descent. Range from castizos to white people.
Nortenos speak a strange creole combining English, Spanish, German and Portuguese. They have a large rural population.

New Swabian Reich:
TL-447 Nazis mixed with TL-440 peoples from the Western countries (Zauberfloete21).
New Swabians have a complicated identity due to their conquering Nazi lineage and the mixed and varied origins of their maternal ancestry, which makes them natural friends with the Drakenaars.

Medigrine Empire:
A particular group of people from the Haimirican Empire (TheKutKu).
The Medigrines are fully intent on conquering the Normans and subjugating the whole planet in the process.

Norman Empire:
A mixed people of Mediterranean, French, British and Norse ancestry with a Norman ruling class.
Normans portray themselves as confident and chivalrous but they are also severely threatened by the Medigrines, which is causing the Normans to establish relations with the Terrans and even as far as the Weltreich.

(Btw, I am now open to commissions)

Just in time for Christmas! The DeviantArt version can be found here.

More to the point, here's something that was born from a crazy crossover idea: combining the Command and Conquer Tiberium universe with the "Universal Century" continuity of the Gundam franchise. More specifically, what would happen if the Global Defense Initiative (the "good guys" in the setting) from just after C&C 3: Kane's Wrath found itself in the UC timeline (through an "ISOT" event), around the start of the One Year War. And...this happened.

Although based on the map covers I've made for both franchises, as much as possible, I've tried to stay as faithful to the games, anime and source material as possible, further info on which can be found on Gamepedia and Wikia (with further UC Gundam info here as well as in-universe Anaheim Electronics material here), though there are a couple of creative licenses made to make everything as consistent and detailed as possible. In addition, some elements are based on the cancelled Tiberium game and whatever could be salvaged from Tiberian Twilight, as well as elements taken from various OVAs and manga (including references to Stardust Memory, War in the Pocket, 08th MS Team, Thunderbolt, Gundam Unicorn and Zeta Gundam). While certain other details were inspired by the Spacebattles Sieg Zeon RP map cover.

Last but not least, this is a fan work and a work of fiction. This is not meant to be propaganda or a political or ideological spiel. All rights belong to their respective owners.

That being said, it's been fun working on this. And I hope I've done justice to both series.

(EDIT: Corrected a few errors in the description)

Command and Conquer: UC Ad Astra
(UC 0083)

It was the year 0079 of the Universal Century. A half-century had passed since Earth began moving its burgeoning population into gigantic orbiting space colonies. A new home for mankind, where people are born and raised.

And die.

The cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, called Side 3 or Munzo which had proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon, launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation. A combination of events conspired to bring about this, spanning decades. Be it the proliferation of Zeon Zum Deikun's views on Spacenoids and "Newtypes," or more specifically on the infamous Bardot Policy that brought about an economic embargo, in one way or another anger towards the Earthnoid elites, whose souls were weighed down by gravity, had continued to grow, soon making conflict all but inevitable.

Realizing the immense might of the Federation, however decadent it was, in the preceding years Zeon turned to utilizing Minovsky Physics (which screws with electromagnetic radiation and radar but can also be used for beam weaponry and ulta-compact fusion reactors) and a revolutionary innovation: the Mobile Suit. Equipped with Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) systems and designed with Minovsky Particles in mind, these humanoid weapons would soon upend "conventional" and speculative warfare as it had been understood since the 20th and 21st Centuries in the old Anno Domini calendar. Even as those MS overwhelmed various enemy installations, however, the upper echelons of Zeon's high command, at the behest of Gihren Zabi, looked to a cruel yet audacious plan to end the war early: Operation British, a colony drop targeted at the Earth Federation's main military HQ in Jaburo, somewhere in South America. The scheme failed, the colony dropping instead on (and erasing) Sydney, Australia. 200 Million people died as a result, with many more following suit in coming the days and weeks. People were horrified by the indescribable atrocities that had been committed in the name of independence. Still, faced with the bulk of the Earth Federation Space Force (EFSF) threatening their Homeland, the denizens of Zeon pushed forward to challenge the Earth head-on in what came to be called the Battle of Loum, named after the site of the battle in Side 5. Despite mounting casualties on both sides, the Spacenoids with their MS emerged victorious, not only wiping out much of the Earthnoids' military capacity in space, but even capturing their esteemed General Revil. Despite the triumphant victory and hopes for a swift end to a conflict that was rapidly becoming the bloodiest in human history, however, neither faction refused to budge.

But then, on the eve of a what was dubbed the Earth Drop Operations, the face of the planet itself changed forever. In a flash, about 20% of the globe, along with the geostationary space above them were suddenly replaced by a what seemed to be mirror versions from another reality, at once similiar yet different. While the appearance of the so-called "Blue Zones" following the event, known simply as the "Anomaly," quickly threw much of the Federation into disarray, for the Spacenoids it initially warranted little more than adjusting their timetable. Even when the newcomers, calling themselves the Global Defense Initiative (GDI), soon sent out delegates to both sides as a diplomatic gesture, Kycilia Zabi among many others notably scoffed them as merely Earthnoids by another name. The planned invasion proceeded as originally intended, if somewhat delayed.

Zeon, however, underestimated their new opponents. For the Earth they had come from not only had a history that diverged significantly some time in the 1990s by the old reckoning. But was also beset by Tiberium, a green crystalline resource whose value was rivaled only by its destructive impact on the planet. GDI, established by that reality's United Nations as an international peacekeeping force, had outlived its host organization in both enduring an increasingly hostile environment and upholding its original mandate. By 2052, it had also long since subsumed what was left of its member states as both the guardian and governing body of the civilized world, enduring three massive wars against a deluded Brotherhood worshiping the substance and even an invasion by extraterrestrials closely linked to the crystal. The Spacenoids, thus, encountered a professional military force that by necessity couldn't afford to be a pushover. For what GDI lacked in MS or beam weapons its soldiers more than made up for in combined arms tactics, rugged engineering (that was at least partially resistant to Minovsky Particles), and potent firepower (including magnetic railguns and sonic weaponry). Working together with the beleaguered Federation and nearby Ground Force (EFGF) divisions, the newcomers were able to halt what should have been a relentless advance. Although heavily armored tanks and sturdy mechs were not always enough (especially when Titan walkers were found to be vulnerable to even Zaku-IIs at close quarters combat), battle-honed tactics and advanced logistics often helped in turning the tide. It helped as well that this was not the first time they had confronted humanoid walkers.

Even then, the Zabis and their best commanders were able to entrench their positions and deploy additional reinforcements from across the Earth Sphere. Among those reinforcements were members of the newly founded Newtype Independent Corps, some of whom were equipped with prototype "psycommu" systems (developed with the help of one Dr. Flanagan) designed to control weapons remotely through their mental ability. This proved more than enough to grind the counterattacks to a crawl, even with the Federation's hastened completion of "Operation V." Although the world outside the Blue Zones was more sparsely populated than it was in the "Middle Era" of Anno Domini, the result of “relocating” whole populations to space in earlier generations, the situation had ground down to the point that further attempts to drive the invaders off the planet would be costly for all parties involved. The war was at a stalemate.

It was a few months later, however, that GDI's partially intact Ion Cannon network was successfully bought back online. Fiercely defended by A-SAT systems and a relative handful of Kodiak-class battlecruisers that comprised its embryonic space fleet - while managing to fend off Zeon MS and Musai destroyers - these defense platforms were quickly used for strategic warning shots. But it was only after one was fired directly on an enemy force advancing a pocket of EFGF holdouts in Indochina that Earthnoids and Spacenoids alike were finally forced to the table. Thus, the Global Armistice was finalized on Christmas Day. Until a more lasting and peaceful compromise could be reached, the reasoning went, a status quo had to be upheld, however tenuous it was. Especially with the discovery that Tiberium deposits had somehow appeared in portions of the globe outside the Blue Zones. Although the warnings from GDI delegates regarding the green crystal were neglected, the agreement held firm. Barring mild, intermittent skirmishes, the end of the conflict seemed was closer than ever. Or so most people believed.

A few years on, the world continues to stand on the precipice.

The Earth Federation still presents itself as the sole, legitimate body representing all mankind, as it was even before the the Laplace Incident of UC 0001. In practice, it's almost a miracle that it has managed to hold itself together at all. Although nominally democratic, with the "Loyalist" EF Assembly based in Lhasa (Dakar having been lost in the Anomaly), the civil bureaucracy is dominated not just by technocrats, but also the remaining oligarchs, lobbyists (including the Lunar-based Anaheim Electronics) and "global" elites, such as the mysterious Vist family. Although this has also resulted in a seeming decay of functional authority through corruption and neglect, it has also allowed them to further consolidate power where it actually matters, such that not even the challenge posed by the newcomers would shake their grip; the trend, if anything, has accelerated even further, with rival politicians and interest groups conveniently out of the picture. Meanwhile, the Earth Federation Forces continues keeping the peace from the main HQ at Jaburo, with strategic outposts scattered across the Earth Sphere (the largest being the asteroid base Luna II). While originally based on the UN Peacekeepers and national militaries of old (albeit with some upgrades), since the beginning of hostilities the EFGF/EFSF has grown increasingly reliant on beam weapons and the GM line of Mobile Suits (among the many end results of "Operation V"), among others. From their experiences with GDI, efforts have also being made to upgrade rather than jettison their more conventional arsenals, among the most notable being jow the latest iteration of the M60 Main Battle Tank more closely resembles the Mammoth Mk. III. At the same time, however, the upper echelons of its chain of command has underestimated just how overstretched and hobbled (be it complacency or corruption) they've become, as well as the scale of "Martial Law" being enacted in response to both Zeon and mounting instability; indeed, a major thorn has been the growing trend of defections by not only individual squads to GDI but even high-ranking figures, most infamously Gen. Revil. Thus, it's no surprise that certain interests and groups, hoping to put an end to this predicament have lent their support to Jamitov Hymen's Special Emergency Corps. But as the so-called "Titans" are granted ever more powers to quell dissent and external threats, to the satisfaction of many among the governing class, some have not only been questioning the underlying motives but more treasonous ideas. Such as whether, after all is said and done, it deserves to be saved.

It's another story for the Principality of Zeon. Since the passing of Degwin Sodo Zabi not long after the Global Armistice, the title of "Sovereign" has remained temporarily vacant as per his wishes, with Garma (the youngest) slated by some to be the most likely to fully inherit it. Nonetheless, the rebellious Spacenoids have not been idle in making the most of the intervening time. As their national resources and manpower were still around 1/30th compared to the Earth Federation's, the Zabis and their best commanders were nigh unanimous in realizing that they could ill afford to be complacent with their conquests. Thus on top of maximizing and annexing their most vital territories on Earth, notably Odessa Sector in what was once Ukraine, they established various "Reichskommissariats" out of their remaining holdings, with the intent of integrating them once victory was secured. Whether it's due to Side 3's Germanic-derived pretensions, historical amnesia or deliberate spite, such moves have helped in swaying various anti-Federation groups to Zeon's cause, including a number of religious and nationalist movements still skeptical of the “white” and multicultural “Feddies;" some even call the Earthnoid elite “Frenchmen” after half-forgotten memories of colonial rules. Myriad other reforms, including the United Maintenance Plan and a greater emphasis on implementing long-neglected experimental projects (such as the Jormundgand and Solar Ray in the wake of GDI's Ion Cannons) have further helped in giving the Principality even more of an even footing. But while their efforts to remake their share of the Earth Sphere in their image have seen results, whose image would win out is becoming the overriding question. Not even the propaganda machine run by the notorious Gihren Zabi, which has done much in reinforcing solidarity and support for the regime, has stopped the simmering rivalries among the myriad cliques, from the power plays between industrial conglomerates MIP and Zeonic-Zimmad (which were merged together in response to Anaheim Electronics) to those among some members of the ruling dynasty. Then, there's the secretive and increasingly confrontational Newtype Independent Corps, whose members have since come to call themselves "Neo Zeon" out of the belief that they are the future of not only their country but all mankind. While rumors that their infighting against the rest of the cliques would devolve into all-out civil war are as yet unconfirmed, those alleging that the long lost son of Deikun himself is leading them are harder to deny.

And then, there is the Global Defence Initiative. The fact that much of its manpower, infrastructure and economic base actually being within the Blue Zones that "crossed over" in the Anomaly meant that the initial fallout of the event was significantly minimized, albeit not without its fair share of unrest. Not even its most jaded officials, however, anticipated how much of a proverbial "wild card" it would actually be by existing in the Universal Century. Before and after the Global Armistice, GDI's efforts to help their neighbors and deter Spacenoid aggression not only earned the support of more than a few Earthnoids but in the process presented much more. GDI's founders did not intentionally set it up to be a global superstate, their successors only doing so due to circumstances and out of necessity in a deteriorating planet. Yet unlike the Earth Federation, there's an actual semblance of democratic government and freedoms. Despite harrowing pressures, being more densely populated and a nigh constant war footing born from generations of struggle, standards of living for the average citizen are comparable to, if not surpass, the most well-off "Loyalist" region. Which is not to ignore the men and women who comprise its original military arm, who not only stay true to their professed mandate but remain steadfast and ready to face any threat. All in all, they presented an alternative vision for a world that could have been, and one that may be far more preferable for humanity's future. It comes as little surprise, then, why certain territories along with several dissidents have outright broken away from the Federation in favor of GDI protection, if not outright annexation. Or why EFGF soldiers and officers (either disillusioned with their erstwhile superiors for leaving them to die or a system they see as having betrayed them) have defected; in addition to Gen. Revil, other notably infamous cases include the crew of the Pegasus-class White Base, along with their highly prized cargo of powerful "Gundam"-type MS. That there's a similar common, Western-derived culture mixed with a variety of regional, multicultural and even national identities (while simultaneously rekindling certain forms of nationalism) also helped in reducing most cases of culture shock, though some Blue Zone locals still tend to poke fun at some of the more peculiar names used by their new allies. Such developments, inevitably, have soured relations between the two polities. But whether it's out of jingoism, compulsion or the renewed threat of Tiberium, more within the leadership (further pushed by distinguished figures like Col. "Havoc" Parker and Gen. Michael McNeil) are entertaining the notion that if the Federation at its current state is not fit to claim to uphold world order, someone else would have to.

The dynamics within and among these three powers have also left an impact on technological trends. The innovations represented by the newcomers' "Mobile Construction Vehicles" for instance have redefined logistics alone, not only allowing for insta-building structures from practically nothing (so long as sufficient resources present) but also making the ability to set up fully-operational field bases of variable size a reality. While Minovsky Particles have rendered the use of drones more impractical (as have certain guided munitions), a combination of industrial robotics, nanotechnology and refining methods derived from Tiberium harvesting (applicable for use on even scrap metal) have similarly taken mass production and economic efficiency to far greater heights, especially when a well-supplied GDI war factory could reasonably compete with even Jaburo's production facilities (which could churn out whole battallions of MS given enough time). And though the Federation nor Zeon were neither strangers to magnetic weapons (having previously made prototype designs) as well as the principle behind combat-ready protective gear, to see refitted Mammoth Mk. III tanks inflict damage comparable with heavy beam weapons (be on battleships or Gundam-type MS) or observe Zone Trooper donning miniaturized power armor and handheld anti-vehicle railguns was another matter entirely. Suffice to say, such developments among others have since inspired both camps to invest in reverse-engineering those advancements to suit their own needs, though the results vary. On the other hand, although GDI's rugged design philosophies and improved Anno Domini-era conventional doctrines have served it well, it soon became apparent among the military and civil leadership that not only was their capacity to deal with Mobile Suits limited (especially as more of them are used on the battlefield) among other issues, but their once-unquestioned supremacy in orbit was vulnerable. Thus, in addition to further improving their Orca series of aircraft and "mobile armor"-tier weapons platforms (such as the Mammoth Mk. II and Mastodon), more attention has been made to expand their presence in space, be it through improving the Kodiak-class, the development of new prototype spacecraft (derived in part from data and equipment provided by EFGF/EFSF defectors) or reaching out to friendly Spacenoids such as the breakaway "Riah Republic" of Side 6 as a possible site for a much expanded successor to the GDSS Philadelphia. All the while, working hand in hand with their researchers combining AMBAC systems with the sturdy chassis of the Titan walker to create heavily armored MS of their own that can not only fit into combined arms tactics but also function effectively in the vacuum of space, where such weapons could truly shine.

These also from part of a much larger response to the Tiberium question, code-named "Ad Astra." Although the newcomers, compared to the Brotherhood of their old reality, only use the green crystal for raw material and recognize their immense value as such, they recognized long ago how destructive it could be if left unchecked, ultimately threatening extinction. That both the Earth Federation and Zeon have continued neglecting warnings regarding the exploitation of the substance as a way to lessen their dependency on the Jupiter Energy Fleet and its cargo of Helium-3 has certainly made their efforts even harder; as though to make matters more complicated, in a perverse mirror of another history, the spread of such deposits, though seemingly unnoticeable to the environment, is growing exponentially. But despite the loss of the so-called "Tacitus" (a data matrix of extraterrestrial origin believed to contain the means to change the world or destroy it) prior to the Anomaly, there is a certain confidence from their scientists in being able to use what information they were able to gather (which has also helped in advancing GDI technology) to soon find a viable means to contain and control the alien mineral while there's still time. Awareness of the wider Earth Sphere has also opened up new possibilities along with new challenges. Uninhabited asteroids or even parts of the Lunar surface could be used for the seeding and harvesting of Tiberium in relative safety. The existence of several large, self-sufficient space colonies (derived from O'Neill cylinder designs) has shown GDI that humanity could survive even in the worst case scenario and, if Side 6 proved anything, that at least some Spacenoids can be swayed to an alternative vision for a brighter tomorrow, much as on Earth. That is, if it could defeat the underlying ideology that one way or another drives the Zabis and the other Zeon cliques. Something about the worldview justifying Newtypes as the next stage of human evolution seemed strangely familiar to many in the Blue Zones. With some even in GDI's leadership entertaining the notion that perhaps there's more to the deceased Deikun than meets the eye, harkening back to a false Messiah in another world and another time.

It is UC 0083. A new age is dawning. The stars beckon, one way or another. As does more bloodshed.

Oof. That's a hard act to follow.

This is just a cover of an old map by Diamond, in which the French revolution manages to stabilize itself in the Directorate phase, Napoleon never comes to power, and the British turn their attentions from fighting the French to beating up the early US. A lot.

(UK relations with France remain poor, and although there is peace after 1800, it's a cold peace, and the French consider that Perfidious Albion has never ceased to conspire against them - not entirely inaccurately)

Butterflies flap. The US is unable to push west of a British-controlled Mississippi (although a lot of Americans become British citizens) and looks more overseas for room to expand (I was inspired here by Spazzreflex's "Yankee Trader" world. Hope we get a world map one of these days!) With no Napoleonic invasion of Spain, the Spanish Empire lasts a bit longer, long enough to foolishly ally with France in another war and have the Empire break off under different circumstances.

Austria-Hungary and Prussia (which holds onto it's third partition hunk of Poland) create a "conservative coalition" to prevent stinky republicanism from pushing further east, but Russia proves an unreliable partner and it becomes a fairly strictly German affair.

There isn't a rebellion on the scale of the OTL Indian "Mutiny", John Company continues to run India and points east, and Corporate rule (Hudson's bay co., Royal Africa Co., East India Company, etc.) continues to be a major mode of British imperialism. Corporate power expands particularly in western "Canada, where there are vast new exploitable territories opening up: the former Hudson's Bay Company, now a vast network of corporate entities under the title of Royal Rupertsland Company, expands further across the Pacific into Asia after the British almost accidentally pick up east Siberia after an alt-Great Game goes ugly in the 1880s. (The East Indies company is pissed, but corruption problems have gotten so bad that the British don't want them taking over new responsibilities).

Efforts to rein in overweening corporate power around the turn of the century go badly, and the Corporate Revolution nearly brings down the Empire. The Corporate Republic of Rupertsland breaks away from the UK (with the help of the US, not so much out of sympathy for the Corporate Republic but due to a continuing desire to stick a thumb in the British eye). The British, shaken badly by this, start trying to create a more closely unified empire. This does not go down too well in India, where the rigors of foreign rule had to some extent been softened by corruption, and the local Nabobs at least respected the nobles, not like the new class of professional administrators trained in schools where scientific racism was part of the curriculum.

Russia tried to retake eastern Siberia, failed, and had its own, republican revolt. The Qing empire collapsed and three Chinese states emerged from the rubble, a new dynasty, a republic, and a Rupertsland puppet. Egypt has made major strides in modernization.

It is now 1929. The Commonwealth of German States has become the Commonwealth of Mitteleuropa with the rising power of the Slavs (Prussia is now Prussia-Poland, while Croatia-Bosnia is ruled by a cadet branch of the Habsburgs and a junior branch of the Wittelsbachs rules Lithuania) and is a loosely united but still substantial power. Britain is busing finishing off the rebels in NW India: the 20th century Great Indian Revolt was considerably nastier than OTLs 19th century Mutiny, but the British government had commited itself to No More Retreats, and ultimately nobody was willing to go to bat for the rebels. Only Bengal remains as a challenge, but they may have left it too late: the French and the USA have both recognized the Bengali regime (blah blah thumbs, blah blah eyes), although they don't seem to willing to actually go to war for them - so far.

This has not been good for British democracy, which had already taken on some fascist overtones before the Revolt, (not that people in this world are aware of what Fascism is) and is now about as fascist as you can get without tossing democracy entirely out the window (although all dressed up in patriotism and Stiff Upper Lip and British Values and Muscular Christianity Et Al). A *fascist political party has recently come to power in the Rhinelands, somewhat to France's discomfiture. But fascism is not as yet a recognized form of politics in this world: the most notable "alternate model" to republicanism and monarchy is Corporatism, oligarchic corporate states in which money talks but the masses can at least be shareholders. It has been picked up not just by it's client states such as California but has become the mode of governance in Brazil, and increasingly in Boer South Africa (with the shorter Revolutionary Wars the British didn't hold onto South Africa, although they did pocket a good chunk of the East Indies) and has friends in the United States and Spain, although the Russian republic is distinctly "lefty" (although, again, Socialism isn't a recognized system in this world, at least not in the form we have it).

Rupertland is trying hard to increase it's population through immigration, although it's "to get rich is glorious" message is somewhat undercut by its harsh exploitation of those who don't succeed, and the often embarrassing behavior of its allies. They make up for manpower shortages to some extent through technology - the system is set up to reward technological innovators, and Rupertsland is an innovator in everything from internal combustion vehicles to computers (technology is somewhat more advanced in general than OTL 1929: the French Directorate developed the research institute, the scientific universities and industry/science partnerships of OTL Kaiserite Germany decades earlier, and was widely imitated.) and is probably the most high-tech nation on the planet, although lacking the depth of resources and manpower to be a true superpower. Future's so bright gotta wear shades, at least as long as tensions in east Asia don't start up the half-mythical "world war" talking heads on the electroviewer somberly predict.

Written In-universe to my timeline.

First deciphered by Yseian translators in Caridell in the year 2541 AC (5111 AF), the "Kadimaran World Map" is a tablet made from clay showing one of the oldest known maps of the world, dating roughly to the first century AC (2500 AF) or even earlier. It was written in ancient Kadimaran cuneiform, most likely during the rule of the Neo-Sutarban Empire. The tablet was first discovered in the excavations of Nissar and translated soon afterwards.

Keeping with their heavy usage of numbers based on 3 and 6, the Kadimarans saw the world as three major lands divided by three bodies of water, all surrounded by an outer ring of ocean with unknown lands on the outside. Many circles and lines are present, denoting cities and rivers line the sides of the three landmasses. It also names many of the lands and seas depicted in the tablet. In its heavily damaged state of discovery, any information regarding the outer regions, or NAGU, were lost to time.

The map has been reconstructed in modern *
English* and colored for clarification.

And the last one!

There is/was an error with the legend/labeling - No. 10 should read Danzig and Tangier would be No. 11

The republic of Angola.

Franco enters the war in late 1940. This leads to Portugal being sucked in and being occupied. After the war the country was in no position to maintain its colonies and thus by 1955 Angola, Mozambique, and Cabinda become independent.
The new Angola government is very pro west and receives aid from the USA. When the Belgians withdrew from Congo the new nation went communist in the ensuing civil war Angola would occupy large portions of the border lands and when the Congo collapsed and dissolved it would annex those lands.

Angola would go on to receive the western most parts of what was north Rhodesia from the British.

just wanted to make aesthetic Angola

There is another error with "Transjordan". That whole territory was the British LoN Mandate of Palestine. Only its eastern part was the autonomous emirate of Transjordan, the western part was Palestine Proper. If you don't want to label them separately, you should use Palestine, not Transjordan for the whole area. By the way, "Transjordan" means "on the other side of the River Jordan", not "on both sides of the River Jordan".

And a question. Why the slight difference between your username here "Ziuwari" and the name on the maps "Cyowari"? I presume that the pronounciation is identical / similar, but why the different spelling?

To Supervisor Martin,

It seems the rumors are true there is a Templar-Mayan Bloc within the Templar Assembly. Our sources in the Templar Assembly have confirmed it and the Templars have not denied it.
We are still waiting for a reaction of the Mayan Multiverse and the Mesoamerican Bloc but none are forthcoming for now. Seems like we have to speak with our communications department again!

Mixtures of different culture multiverses are very common (and the Templars are no exception to it). Just look at the Indo-Saxon Multiverse or the Judeo-Summeric ones.
Anyway this will be a short summary of the Maya Universal Empire that is part of the Templar-Mayan Multiverse Order (a bloc within the Templar Multiverse Assembly).

Authors Note: A quick work about a Mayan-Templar Universe mixture.

Edit: The cool Mayan Flag (which is an Aztec symbol) was made by the The-Artist-64! Here is the link to the original: www.deviantart.com/the-artist-…

I want to see a version of this for the Aztecs. Then my life is complete.

Well not really an Aztecs one but a Mayan one with a sprinkling of Templars...

I was really not having a good day today having to reset my laptop due to a evil Windows 10 update that made it impossible to start up my computer. But seeing this has made me a bit happier, thank you man I needed that honestly.

How many years did it take you to draw all those subdivisions?

Can't say anything considering you're correction-proposal atm - have to do a bit of research considering the name. As for you're other question: i post the on a few other sites as well and my main gallery is over on DeviantArt so i used the same name as i used there for the watermark and stuff. And yeah, its the "same" name - just a variation of it. Zuiwari is old high german if i remember correctly and means followers of Ziu which is old german for Tyr. Cyowari comes form southern germany. Both names appear around the 5th or 6th century. If i remember correctly.
And the username Ziuwari wasn't available over on DA

Really small nitpick but I believe there was a Basmachi revolt in Khorazm. Nothing much. Awesome map as always.

I was really not having a good day today having to reset my laptop due to a evil Windows 10 update that made it impossible to start up my computer. But seeing this has made me a bit happier, thank you man I needed that honestly.

I'm glad to help. I hope your computer problems can be resolved very quickly!!!

Plz tell me that his Cabinda isn’t another Equatorial Guinea, but rather a developed state with a good redistribution policies :)
It was a Marxist Leninist communist state. But now it's a one party dictatorship, with some free market. Not as bad as Equatorial Guinea but not the best. Atleast it's didn't have a devastating civil war like its neighbours so it's got that going for it.

This is a follow up map of the canadian referendum map i posted yesterday, if you remember, depicting a rather.... fear mongering newspaper's take on the result of the referendum in case of a Republican victory.

This is one of the best in-universe propaganda maps I've seen in a while.
I assume that the Brampton Sun is a tabloid-like paper, but is hostility between French-Canadians and Anglos really that high?
I quite like Northernest Dakota (it's realistically lazy), but I can't help but wonder who the Bellingham chap that Victoria Island is renamed for is.

After several days of work, I present you with my draft map of the Warhammer 40,000 galaxy. Some notes:

*The map is not error-free and is an amalgamation of various official and unofficial maps I used for reference. Systems have shifted location over the various editions and even official maps of the same edition are not always internally consistent. The placement of the Gothic Sector especially was a problem.

*The Jericho Reach, Askellon and Calixis Sectors and the Koronus Expanse are from the FFG 40k rpgs, which sadly have been discontinued. Calixis and its Lathes forge worlds have appeared in official maps though.

*Included is a draft edit of 8th edition's Great Rift. Not accurate, but should be serviceable for now.

*Feel free to use this as a base for your own maps. I kept all the systems blank for this reason.

*Finally, happy Feast of the Emperor's Ascension/Sanguinala/Slaaneshmas.
