Hey it's me back again with Strangereal obsession!

Anyway, I used g.projector and put the map on Orthographic projection with real life Earth as overlays for comparisons. And damn, their Antarctica is so damn huge.

Yeah that’s always something that bothered me with it. The northern tip of antarctica should definitely be habitable...

At the same time climate in strangerezl doesn’t make much sense, with ice caps at the north of Usea despite being at around 40-45 degree North, while some part of anea (45-70 N) have hot deserts

Granted that Moloch Desert is actually down south of Anea but still it's inconsistent. But I guess that being consistent would "limited the dev team's creativity".

Nothing too fancy, another take on that old chestnut, the retro-future.

Delightful! Very accurate, in my opinion, when it comes to reflecting the trends and expectations of the period.

I'm particularly fond of the idea of the EU incorporating European Russia, but leaving Asian Russia out for the time being. That's exactly the kind of technocratic approach you'd expect in this ATL. No doubt they have a whole plan regarding phased economic integration, special travel and commerce legislation, stipulations on who gets to vote in which supra-regional elections etc. etc.

Posts like this make me feel like the godamn Cryptkeeper tbh

Ugh, I know.

My Gen-X self now feels compelled to do a 1970s-punk map. All the oil shortages, stagflation, and East German spy drama that a post-Watergate world can provide. Soundtrack by Linda Ronstadt, John Denver, David Bowie, and the Village People.

I'm stealing some of Bohemia Interactive's lore and geopolitics to fit my YouTube universe. An independent Aegean nation with a lot of Turkic influences that becomes its own when the Turkish Socialists kicked the Ottomans out of Anatolia and into Cyprus, especially with some British help in the 1960s (for their own agenda to give one last middle finger to the Ottomans).

Also, edit on original post (Brazil is Cajuterra).

The US is corrupt, brilliant, creative, schlocky. It produces endless movies with fabulous special effects and no plots to speak of, produces endless identical boy bands and some of the blackest and grimmest alternative music outside the Germanic countries (see, Death Grunge), creates the world’s most elaborate virtual realities and the most dire reality shows.

Sweet Jesus yes, take me there.

Well, with no women, those monks have to do something to keep them occupied when they run out of prayers.
Also, it is not Mount Athos, but the island of Lemnos, otherwise known as "Altis" in Arma 3. I didn't catch that Mt. Athos was on the Athos Peninsula.
