Another Nightrise Map!
Woo!
This is an ethnic map of the German Reichsbund in the Year of its creation, 1878, and modern day, 1972.
Due to several factors, the Reichsbund is often equalized with Germany, and thus is often just called "Kaiserreich" (a common name for Germany as well) or just "Reich".
The development of the ethnic composition of these 6 countries is defined and predefined by several factors such as the history before the creation and the political goals of the Reichsbund and the Community it's part of: the Northern World.
1st: History prior to the Reichsbund's creation on the Vienna Congress 1878
The Reichsbund's roots derive from the creation of the Greater German Kaiserreich by the Austro-Hungarian Kingdom.
By that, the German Kaiserreich stretched from Schleswig to Dubrovnik, from Metz to Suwałki.
However, it also controlled parts of Ukraine and other Eastern European Nations, as the Russian civil war continued. The Reichsbund was created after Germany eventually beat them in 1874 to establish several nations under german administration in order to protect these territories from Russia and its inquisition which continued to exist until 1897.
This has set the Germans/The German Kaiserreich as liberators of most ethnic groups and Transhuman species which were equalized under German Control, a privilege that resembled a rhetoric "heaven" to most awakened citizens who were living in persecution the last decade(s).
2nd: German as traffic language
Since German was enacted as both major official language of the Reichsbund and as the Lingua Franca, the spread of both ethnic Germans and the knowledge of German language. The idea of a traffic language was enacted by the Kaiser, who wanted that every ethnic community retains its cultural and political importance while enabling people from various ethnic groups to communicate with each other or to communicate in the german-speaking areas.
This has proven itself as a major opportunity as the spread of the internet and electronic communications which are mostly on german profit from the german-skilled population.
3rd: German Construction aid
The German-speaking Areas have been well-industrialized, something the Kaiser wanted to achieve in the east as well. It was also partly making the east dependent on Vienna, when the Kaiser encouraged many skilled german workers to aid industrial Development in the east and partly in the Northern World as well. This has lead to a large german population in cities such as Lemberg, Budapest, Warsaw or Riga.
4th: standardization of a "Dalmatian" standard language for Serbocroat languages
In order to improve the intelligibility of the various non-Slovene south Slavic dialects, the Reich has enacted a "South Slav Standard lecture" or "Dalmatian Standard" which also sort of acts as a mini-traffic language between the various south Slavic dialects.
Its Concept is based on the German "High German Standard" in order for everyone to write in a standard german lecture.
The Dalmatian Standard is, albeit its name, based on the Agram dialect of Croatian. It's based on Latin script, in order to lessen the use of Cyrillic in the area.
5th: Free Traffic between nations of the Reichsbund
The open border policy, widespread use of the German mark as support currency whom every other Reich currency is bond to, and the exact same legislative status in the member states has made it incredibly easy for people to accept the Reichsbund as an entity. Ethnic groups which would've been separated by the eastern border of Germany can now easily cross the borders or work somewhere entirely else since the location of one does not change or matter in the Reichsbund. This has essentially helped the Reichsbund to maintain its territorial and national integrity.
6th: Trieste/Sevastopol Doctrines and population transfers
In the early 1900s, French, Italian and Russian Irredentism was claiming the french-, Italian- and Russian-speaking areas of the Kaiserreich, which of course responded with a disagreeing attitude. When foreign claims became violent, the Kaiser agreed in the Trieste and Sevastopol doctrines the resettlement of ethnic Italians, French, Danish, Romanian and Russian Irredentists/Nationalists. They are considered the only incidents in which the Kaiserreich got a bit pushing and partly expulsed population groups. Those who remained mostly were assimilated into the new ethnic majority or maintain a small minority community.
The Sevastopol doctrine also was a very fortunate decision for the Ukrainian Question, in which Ukrainians living in Russia wanting to live in a Ukrainian State and Russians living in Ukraine wanting to live in Russia were exchanged, establishing clear Ethnolinguistic borders between Russians and Ukrainians.
7th: The Awakening and the impact on species
Another major role in the damming of nationalism was the development of a "species identity" caused by the hundreds of new species created during the awakening and the years during the demonic revolutionary wars. Since everyone was capable of speaking german as traffic language by the early 1900s, some species began to migrate into communities which thus also changed the ethnic composition of some settlements.
