What I find interesting about the perception of Traditional Chinese Culture, is that many things people view as Chinese isn’t originally Chinese. Like how the Cheongsam, the changshan, and the Queue hairstyle, isn’t originally Chinese, those things were Manchu, which were brought because of the Qing Dynasty, only keeping Chinese philosophies like Confucianism and Daoism. This was completely different from Han Chinese clothing, hairstyle, and customs, like the Hanfu.

The Qing Dynasty were outsiders to the Han Chinese. The Manchus today are an ethnic group in China.

So, what is others thought on this subject? Did the Manchus drastically changed how the Chinese Lifestyle when they took over as the Qing. Compared to Han Chinese clothing and customs in past Dynasties, like the Ming or Song, did the Qing change what people view as Chinese?

Every dynasty changed the culture of China during their tenure. This is a no brainer.

Apart from banning Han clothing and hairstyle, the Qing Dynasty cracked down upon free thought. You don’t see discussions in regards to the monarchy’s power like the Ming Dynasty did until the very end, when the west forced it open for the Qing.

I don't know whether you're asking if the Qing dynasty changed China at all or just the Manchu aspect of it did.
