WHOLESOME 100 KEANU CHUNGUSView attachment 532169Ernest Gregory "Ernie" Lynch Jr. was a Patagonian politician who served as leader of the Communist Party of Patagonia in the 1960s, leader of the Socialist Labour Party in the 70s and 80s, and briefly Minister of Health under Prime Minister Fiona Price in the late 90s.
Born in 1928 to Celia de la Serna and Ernest Lynch Sr. (born Ernesto Guevara), both Argentine immigrants who fled to Patagonia during the Argentine Civil War, Lynch became a communist while studying at the Joseph Chamberlain University Medical School and was later elected leader of the Communist Party of Patagonia, leading it to gain its first seats in Parliament. During his time as CPP leader he became known for his flamboyant, unvarnished style during parliamentary debates, holding the record for most times named out of all Patagonian MPs in history at 217. However, in the early 1970s both his style and views began to moderate, prompting him to leave the CPP in late 1972 and found the Socialist Labour Party early the next year. The new party had a more democratic socialist position compared to the communist position of the CPP. In the subsequent 1976 election the CPP, now under the leadership of Arthur Haessly, got completely wiped out, with most of its support going to the SLP, who won 6 seats.
However the SLP would not last much longer, losing all its seats in the 1981 election. Lynch would attempt to keep the party alive until 1988, when he would fold it into the Labour Party. He would be elected back to Parliament in October 1996 as a member of the Labour Party, and would briefly serve as Minister of Health under Prime Minister Fiona Price. He would resign from the cabinet in mid-1997 due to his disagreements with Price's third way politics, however he remained part of the Labour Party. He would retire from Parliament in the 2001 election.
However, Lynch remained vocal about politics, consistently advocating for left-wing policies and against Labour's centreward shift. In 2018, when Alexander Stewart founded the Progressive Party, Lynch would join it and leave Labour.
Lynch died in his sleep from old age at his home in Victoria in early 2020.
No official flag? So, is there any unofficial state flag floating around in Nez Perce?"It was like a god damned thunderclap" ~ outgoing governor Dan Newhouse
The 2017 Nez Perce gubernatorial election was held on November 7, 2017 to elect the Governor of Nez Perce. Incumbent governor Dan Newhouse failed to make the runoff against all expectations, with independent candidate and self-proclaimed neo-integralist Richard B. Spencer making the runoff. The result of the jungle primary shocked the nation, and it was followed closely by most major media outlets. All other candidates endorsed FLP candidate Tobias Read for the runoff in an effort to keep Spencer out of office, and Read would win the runoff in the largest US gubernatorial landslide since the 19th century. Notably, Spencer lost votes between the jungle primary and the runoff, with many observers suspecting some voters regretted their initial vote. Additionally, this was the first Nez Perce gubernatorial election since the adoption of the jungle primary system to have turnout be lower in the runoff than in the jungle primary.

Note: the reason for the US flag being the infobox flag is because ITTL the State of Nez Perce has no official flag

Definitely, and Governor Read said he would be open to holding a referendum on designating an official flag. It's likely the referendum on whether to make an official flag or not will be just a formality, as opinion polls show an average of 90% of Nez Perce residents favor adopting one, with some polls showing 100% of respondents in favor. The actual debate will be on which flag to pickNo official flag? So, is there any unofficial state flag floating around in Nez Perce?
Thank god Spencer lost but 18% of the vote is still quite alarming."It was like a god damned thunderclap" ~ outgoing governor Dan Newhouse

This is both extremely blessed and cursedIn light of recent, uh, changes, to the OTL Wikipedia US presidents list, I have elected to convert TTL's US presidents list into the format that the OTL one was in before said changes
I also did a few minor retcons, but they don't change much overall
That's the goal! This is both extremely blessed and cursed
I've gone through so many revisions of this and even retconned a bunch of content before settling on this version of the world map. I even tried for a while to make a vector version but gave up lol. Anyway, enjoy
Colonialism fucked everything up as per usualbut now I want to know what the hell is going on in central and west Africa.
North Kenya is hypercursed but South Kenya is blursed at bestAlso, which Kenya is the cursed one? I'm sorry, I forgot.
A different Austro-Hungarian dissolution led to TTL's Carniola being a good bit smaller than OTL SloveniaAlso, what's up with Slovenia?
