Little Big Planet and Sly Cooper (Sony owned the IP before the POD)… just to clarify, is Sony Computer Entertainment an exclusive 3rd party supporter of the Atari Sabertooth, or are they mercenary? Or did you decide to make Sony Computer Entertainment explode? I think I saw some flip-flopping on Sony Computer Entertainment’s fate before this.

Sony Computer Entertainment is working with the PSP Vita but works exclusively with the Budget console that a new company wants to make (haven’t named them yet). Sony also sold the license to LBP, Sly Cooper And Ratchet and Clank once the competition bought the Third Party companies.

Reminder that sucker punch at that point was a third party, the same media molecule ( otl Sony outbid Nintendo for little big planet) so if Sony gets out seems both companies recovered their licenses

The second day of E3 was taking place and Google Atari was taking the stage.

Atari's spokesperson took the stage: "We know you are wondering what Atari can bring to the gaming market. Microsoft's XBox is too expensive for the common consumer and gaming must be more affordable. Not only that but we must bring all types of gaming experiences to the consumer that they cannot find anywhere else."

An image flashes on screen to show the console:

"This is the Atari Sabertooth. It retails for $339.99, has paid online for $20 dollars per year and comes with two controllers. The Atari Sabertooth Pro Controller retails for $50. But enough about that lets hear about who our partners are in the industry."

"All titles will retail for $50 and Tamagotchi is built into the console. We at Google Atari hope you look forward to using our console."

And with that Google Atari's E3 demonstration was over.

Butterfly Effects: Bandai Namco is working with Google Atari to bring titles to the Sabertooth and D.I.C.E. is enjoying the amount of attention their title is getting on the console.
AWESOME!
Next Time: Microsoft attempts to get market share with what gamers want: Always Online DRM.
OH HELL NAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!
If this is supposed to be the "budget console" for this generation, its offerings prove otherwise.

First off, Tamagotchi built into the system. That's really cool!

Second, they own Minecraft and Skyrim. Basically, they're stacked with those two alone if I know gaming history.

Third, I see that Bandai-Namco is mighty fruitful for Google Atari, what with all the revealed titles from them here. Could they be acquired by them, perhaps?

Fourth, I'd look into their past gaming library to see what could be brought back. And here are some Atari games that Nintendo now owns, oddly enough.
Exactly!
Thanks for the list and will look it over. Google Atari is trying to beat the XBox One in graphic fidelity the “budget console“ is yet to be shown in this generation.
Knowing Bandai Namco will want to stay independent I don’t see Google Atari making an offer interesting enough to get them as a Subsidiary.
Right.
Okay.

That would explain it.

Oh, okay.

Phil Harrison took the stage: "Many have asked us, 'Microsoft what do gamers really want?' Well, I will tell you. Always Online DRM. Our data has shown that online games are played at a higher rate than single player games. Gamers also buy new games more than ever before so used games will be a thing of the past.

"We at Microsoft believe you will love the games at launch and will look forward to what is to come."

And with that Microsoft's E3 was over.

Next Time: We learn what the new company holds and what they bring to the table as the 'Budget Console'.

Okay...............

The whole "Always Online DRM" crap's still gonna get hated and killed off right?

And I can't wait to see this new company!

On the bright side, at least we get more cartoony games ITTL from Microsoft.
-Banjo-Threeie
-Conker's Other Bad Fur Day
-Psychonauts HD
-Crash and Spyro Trilogies
-Jet Force Gemini HD
-Skylanders
-Pirates Dream (Could this be Project Dream become reality?)
I'd say that's a good library for the family market.

Always Online DRM will die off, but Microsoft won’t get as much market share . Always Online DRM Online cost them a guaranteed first place of consoles sold this generation.
Oh......

Nintendo and Midway’s influence has been a net positive for Microsoft game wise. Microsoft and other companies feel they need to compete by making both mature games and cartoony ones.

Exactly you need to spread for all markets, especially as cartoony doesn't mean childish ( unlike what teens feel at themselves)
