Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg

So what happens to Mongolia after he dies?
Perhaps Demchugdongrub is his successor.....
Yeah I think its Dem getting crowned Ghengis II.

Which tag are you going to play as when the rework is out? I wanna first play as Bhutan to learn the ropes, then the LEP and Left-KMT, then Qing, then Mongolia, then Yunnan.
My first is going to be authoritarian Qing restoring the Empire, then the LEP, the the natpop theocrats, then maybe Mongolia or Tibet

I'll probably start with Liangguang and Left KMT. Who knows what next.

What do you mean by authoritarian Qing?

There's a path where Puyi can take advantage of the chaos and break out of his role as a puppet and assert more power within the empire. However, he's only as powerful as the Kaiser in Germany, if not a bit weaker, and generally needs to work with those in power to pursue his goals unless he wants to be shut out of decision making completely.

I think he's much weaker than the Kaiser.

It's something I'll give a try to as well, the "imperial restoration" sounds way more interesting than playing as the Zhili. I'll just have to make sure that Zhang Tianran takes over Shandong, since I want him as my patron. I want to see how far we can take the Yiguandao influence. Plus, it's my headcanon. :p

Although the German Rework may change it, my impression is that as it currently stands with Germany (which would apply to the Chinese Rework, since they're almost certainly not sneaking the German Rework out before), in terms of power on the paper Wilhelm II and Puyi are about the same, in terms of actual ability to use that power Wilhelm is less constrained (even to Puyi's Imperial Restoration path), and in terms of interest in actually using that power Puyi exceeds Wilhelm.

Probably Yunnan (rightist KMT), the Liangiang Cligue (we'll see how that turns out), the Left-KMT, and then either Qing or Fentian.

Qing Empire - Manchu Restoration path and then either the Young China Party or the New Chinese Empire Reform Association in terms of the 'emergency' government. Not sure who I want as the coup backer atm, leaning towards either Song or Zhang.

Of course part of the reason I have it planned out this far is that I am doing an AAR of this game. Said AAR will be a narrative AAR, following the 5 characters I have talked about here before. Game stuff will be seen through their eyes from events to decisions to foci and more :)

My list of Who I Will be playing in the rework
KMT left radical socialist

Fangtian/shanxi

Qing Manchu Restoration

Qing wu's Republic

Qing status quo

KMT Right Li /KMT left social Democrat

Federalist

Yunnan

Hunan

Sichuan

Anqing

Shandong

Nanjing

Northwest factions

It seems to me like they can't change their HoS. As otherwise, the Qing might be patronless, which seems rather unfair.
