The general consensus is that it's a fairly middle of the road, forgettable action flick. Personally I'd say that it's a decent enough monster movie to kill a evening with if you feel like it.

I've the artbook.
Even if the move is not really a bad movie, it's clearly not a decent adaptation of the book.
Given what we see in the artbook it could have made an epic movie.

So is the artbook worth getting?

The first 2/3 of the book are really good with alot of artwork. The last 1/4 is a bit less interesting.
If the scne showcased in the concept art have been done the movie could have been really epic and really WWZ.
