BOOBY TRAPS
During World War Z, several booby traps were deliberately set-up by survivors defending makeshift holdouts while others were left-behind as people retreated to the countryside. Many of these traps would be rediscovered years later and while it did help by killing or disabling some zombies, it eventually caused some unnecessary casualties.

An unearthed landmine discovered somewhere in New Mexico. Landmines were often a problem as they tend to leave crawler zombies behind as mines were meant to disable human targets rather than the undead. There are an estimate of 1,000-3,000 landmines scatterred throughout the United States following the government's retreat to the rockies and are in the process of being disposed.
