A 19th century Mexican TL written by Arkhangelsk. It is his debut TL and its POD concerns a different outcome for an earlier decolonization effort on the part of anti-Spanish Mexican patriots. You can read it here.

Immediately after Miguel Hidalgo's Grito de Dolores, Ignacio Allende takes control of the Insurgent Mexican forces and after the Battle of Monte de las Cruzes in Novermber 1810, pushes into the Valley of Mexico and captures Mexico City. The Insurgents are pushed back by the Spanish not long after, but the more militarily adept Allende manages to keep his forces together and over time builds a more cohesive army that can stand up to the might of the Spanish Empire.
