Tiberius and Prometheus share a discussion

Tiberius: I was born in 263. Right in the middle of the Crisis of the Third Century.

Prometheus: Isn't it always odd how every subsequent nation idealized Rome, but had little understanding of what it was like. Not sure if Augustus would have been proud or disappointed.

Anyway. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Prometheus. It's not the name I was born with, nor was it the name I most recently used, but I've taken a liking to it over the centuries.

So when Rome was still in one piece what did you do?

Tiberius: Probably a bit of both, I suppose.

Tiberius (263-410 AD)

My name's Tiberius (or at least my real name is) and for the first few decades of my life I was an officer in the Legions stationed in my native Hispania, defending against the then revolting Gallian Empire. Afterwords I worked a couple jobs over the years. Farmer, smithy, at one point a caravan guard in Africa. That was until around the Sack of 410. After that I rejoined the legions. I felt was my duty.
