TL-191: After the End

Since Prohibition never happened, what became of Al Capone ITTL?

If Prohibition was not enacted in the USA as in our world, Capone might not rise to a position of power and notoriety in the criminal underworld. I don’t remember if Capone is mentioned in the TL-191 series.

More broadly, the absence of Prohibition would probably have an impact on the development of organized crime in the USA in TTL.

The first US presidential candidate from the Midsouth to win a national election is Senator Mace Dufort of Louisiana, of the Democratic Party. Dufort, who served four terms as Governor of Louisiana before later winning election to the Senate, was the victorious candidate in the US presidential elections of 2092.

Dufort, who served two terms as president until 2101, proved to be one of the most popular US leaders in history. This was in no small part because of his natural charisma, and because he genuinely enjoyed meeting with and engaging with voters. Dufort, throughout his political career, was also known as an enthusiastic host, including for dinner parties, concerts, film screenings, and national holidays.

One legacy of the Dufort administration by 2162 is that the people of the USA enjoy at least three national holidays each month. Dufort also added another two holidays to an already crowded July calendar. These were National Friendship Day, on July 1, and National Food and Feasting Day, on July 21. These new July holidays joined the established national holidays of what was popularly known as Eagle Month: the Fourth of July, on July 4, Cassius Madison Day, on July 7, Reunion Day, on July 14, and National Music Day, on July 31.
A true man of the people!

How is the Philippines and how the culture is different because of a longer Japanese rule?

Is there still American influence in Philippines or not as mainstream in the Filipino culture?

After the end of the Second Great War, there was a failed attempt by far-right elements of the French military, with cooperation from the French colonists, to seize power in Algiers. The German Empire retaliated by forcing the postwar French government to withdraw from Algeria. The entirety of the French population fled Algeria after the country gained independence. Most French Algerians immigrated to Quebec, although others left for the Empire of Brazil, or elsewhere in South America.

Algeria’s Jews, who had suffered horribly under the former Action française regime, also all left after the country gained independence, with most immigrating to Quebec or the USA.
When their Jews decided to emigrate, did the new Arab-led government in Algeria try/do any efforts to persuade them to stay? Did they all collectively give up hope of continuing to find any futures in Algeria? Or did they become distrustful of each other despite (I assume) peacefully coexisting for centuries?

The post-independence government of Algeria made no effort to stop its Jews from leaving. Antisemitism in Algeria was not limited to the French colonists.

With SAS Rogue Heroes having just finished its first season, what became of David Stirling?

The analogue to David Sterling in TTL was Archibald Stirling, born on a different date in comparison to our world. As in our world, Stirling joined the Scots Guards. Unlike his counterpart from our world, Stirling did not volunteer for the No. 8 (Guards) Commando.

Archibald Stirling served in the British Army on the Western Front during the Second Great War, where he gained a reputation for bravery, particularly for leading raids behind German lines. Stirling survived the SGW on the Western Front without serious wounds, from the initial advance into Germany through the retreat back into France. Stirling, in spite of his bravery and skills as a soldier, never rose in the ranks. This was because of unfounded and deliberately spread rumors by personal enemies that Stirling was opposed to the ruling Coalition government in the United Kingdom.

After the end of the Second Great War, and the devastating nuclear exchange between the United Kingdom and the German Empire, Stirling volunteered for service in the Australian Army, where he rose quickly through the ranks, eventually reaching the rank of Colonel. Stirling became involved in numerous war games and military exercises simulating a war against the Japanese Empire. Stirling, in this capacity, also regularly worked with liaison officers from the United States and New Zealand. Stirling also became close friends with General Christopher Jade, who would later serve as the supreme Australian military commander during the Fourth Pacific War.

Stirling served in a frontline command in the Australian Army during the Fourth Pacific War, until he was wounded in action in West Papua and sent back to Australia. He retired from the Australian Army in 1971, and spent the rest of his life in Sydney as a manager for the Australian-New Zealander arms manufacturing company Oceania.
