These Fair Shores: The Commonwealth of New England

Of course it's no Soylent Green eco-apocalypse (and probably no Icarus-type dystopia either), but why has climate change exacerbated ITTL, why is the world experiencing the conditions of the Anthropocene worse than OTL?
I presume it is a stylistic choice of the author. Climate is one of the most fickle things in the world, if it were not for human impact we'd be in a new ice age now. The fact that the author has thought about alternative climate effects shows how comprehensive they have been in crafting a world that feels alive.

Put simply, more industrialised countries during the 20th century. Also more redundancies and ineficiencies in industries due to less globalisation/international trade and sovereignty/social reasons.
TFS's world reached late 2010s CO2 concentration in the late 1950s

That's a lot of greenhouse gases. How high are CO2 concentrations in TFSs 2020s/2024?

~720 PPM and rapidly rising, projected to reach 1000 PPM in the mid 2040s

Thanks for sharing this chart, that's hefty though! How much warmer (compared to the pre-industrial average) is TFS already? How much warmer is it predicted to get by 2100? The OTL target of two degrees above pre-industrial average has surely already been exceeded by the 2020s in TFS...

Also, is climate change tackled in any way ITTL? Has there been (radical) climate activism? Or is global warming a fringe topic despite this massive rise in greenhouse gases ITTL?

What @Pragmatic Progressive meant is the in-universe reason for climate change being worse, not why the author decided to write it that way.

CosmicAsh said it's currently about 2.3-2.4 C above pre-industrial.

IIRC, there's a good amount of Temperature increase lag so their world is probably not as warm as ours will be when we reach the same CO2 concentration, since they reached it "quicker"

I'm guessing since Australia is a republic, they are like OTL India in the Commonwealth, albeit a little more involved with its members.
Not quite.
This is something I struggled with initially, too, presuming that the replacement of a Buckingham-appointed Governor-General with an elected official would result in the reduction of Imperial authority in Sydney. However, even as a republic, the Commonwealth of Australia remains a constituent of the British Empire. Australian taxes continue to flow into the coffers of the Royal Navy and the British Home Island Development Fund, Australian citizens remain first and foremost British citizens--albeit with Australian residency status--while following laws handed down from the Imperial Council and Board of Trade--the former may be temporary--and the Royal Australian Coast Guard remains at the beck and call to His Majesty, Edward X, as well as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the Lady President of the British Empire.

Whether the Australian head of state is elected or appointed, London expects all British citizens to do their part for King and Country.

- Propaganda. The United States doesn't view Catholicism with discontent, or openly malign it, due to the early support of the white, catholic slaveholders in the American Caribbean. Protestantism is very much stressed to be the norm, and there have been several state policies to encourage Protestent doctrine in the Catholic territories.
Just a follow-up on this, does religion/ Christianity serve a similar purpose and in the same role as in OTL? For example can you reference Christ or the Bible at a public discussion, such as a podcast or a court hearing (which would be ridiculed/ not taken seriously in Europe)?

Why is Italy raising the voting age?

Murder mystery on the moon, eh? Interesting!

Yeah, what's going on there? That would be unthinkable IOTL.
I can't say why specifically the Italian government has floated this proposal, but I can say that Italy is not...one would call the most egalitarian nation. They're the successor state of a Napoleon-aligned monarchy, and this shows, whether in their treatment of ethnic minorities or their views on suffrage, particularly women's suffrage.

Is there any movement for these dissenters to form a new party focused on rural interests? I'm sure the tories and Liberals will claim to serve their interests, but clearly they haven't in the past as much as Labour isn't in this case.
