The End of Richard Nixon
How does Survive and Advance work? I voted for someone, but nothing happens.
Oooooh, dear. Got a 2016 electoral dead heat as Trump. And yes, Hillary did win the popular vote, but...well...
“No candidate secured a majority in the Electoral College. However, the Republicans won a majority in Congress and will elevate you to the Presidency. Time will tell how things go in that regard. Any mutual affection between you and Congress is predicted to be short-lived, but you've pulled off a number of surprises to get this far.”
I’m pretty sure this result would have been catastrophically worse than OTL 2016.
I once got the same map, but the popular was tied exactly, as was the popular vote in Wisconsin
Also pulled off a Bryan-slide.
Cue the Democrats trying to abolish the Electoral College, look at history, every time this has happened in the current party system they lose.
"You shall not crucify mankind upon a Cross of Gold!" - President William Jennings Bryan while participating in the Democratic National Convention of 1896.
Revenge for 2000
First time I’ve made it into the electoral top 3 as Douglas in a deadlocked 1860.
The Revenge of Mittens
One of my strongest Trump victories I’ve yet achieved:
Ford/Baker PV loss/EC win on Normal: https://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/game/1019860
I wonder if its possible to get a dead heat in 2012...
And people said it wasn't possible...
Nixon/Rockefeller the Environmentalist Civil Rights dream team
Nixon/Dirksen was a failure, but at least Tricky Dick did better ITL. Also, I like the idea as Rockefeller as the frontrunner in '64.
That was pretty hard
Narrow win. Closest Obama win was Iowa (49.8 to 49.4) and New Hampshire (49.8 to 49.4), while the closest Romney win was Colorado (49.75% to 48.66%) and Virginia (50.2 to 49.1)
Romney / Portman (275) def. Obama / Biden (263)
Insert Democrats attempting to remove the Electoral College after this one....
Sorry for the double post, but for this one I HAD to. Sit Down, Dukakis
