I hope someone can get it back up, I loved playing it!
Did better than 88.8% of players as Carter, getting 403 electoral votes. Unfortunately I lost Virginia by 523 votes.
I won as Ford on Normal, doing better than 90.9% of players. https://www.americanhistoryusa.com/campaign-trail/game/957413
you made me belive what the game was back on
It's still there, it's security permissions just expired. If you create a browser exception it is very much accessible.
Nixon 1960 win.
Correct me if im wrong, but the site seems to be back up.
On a different note, is there any way to nerf both parties so that third parties can win? Especially in 2016.
With console commands or whatever it is with the inspect element and all, some stuff is possible. It is relatively easy to win as Wallace and Nader with the difficulty setting stuff, since you can play as them.
With other elections, it is more complicated since you can nerf the party you play as, but it proportionally benefits the other parties so the other major party gets most of the benefit. I've seen some results where other third parties win, or even where other candidates are added, but my knowledge of the console stuff is limited and I don't really know how to do it myself, just basic difficulty adjusting. If you look back in the thread, someone might have explained it earlier
Ran Nixon as a Goldwaterite (with Reagan as his running mate, naturally)...oh dear:
Humphrey/Connally landslide on Normal:
Here's Humphrey as McGovern:
Bush vs Dukakis on normal
The Obliteration of Thomas Dewey:
The Annihilation Begins
Only R states:AL,AK,LA,MS,AR,OK,ID,WY,NE,KS,TN,KY,WV
Laughs in Dewey defeats Truman newspaper
All time low as Hughes in 1916.
I potentially could have lost Vermont by being more pro-immigrant, but I risked winning New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Possibly the biggest landslide ever recorded in America with almost all of the states included. On par if not even more than FDR's margin.
My biggest Carter-slide so far.
