Also, there are five flags in that picture that aren't countries in OTL. The two circled, the one with five stripes at the top, the Acadian flag (French flag with gold star in lower-left) and the Scandinavian-style flag with a yellow cross on a blue and green field at bottom-center.
The five stripe flag and the bottom circled ones are actually historical national flags (China and Iraq, respectively).

I think the circled flag at the bottom is the 1959-1963 Iraqi flag. there's also the Chinese "five races under one union" flag on the top

Regrettably enough despite so many nations on their side it seems there was not a single half decent map maker among them.
Although at least they seem to not have forgotten New Zealand (although you can't really tell, but it might be under that black dot southeast of Australia)

Maybe they mean the Republic of China, which claims more than just Taiwan, regardless of the actual territory they owned?
Hmm, Mainland Southeast Asia looks like India's twin. Maritime Southeast Asia, by contrast has disappeared of the face of Earth.
Also, the Atlantic Ocean is way too big.
Lastly, is that icy island up there Iceland or Greenland?
