I'd suggest something else... maybe a lion, to go along with the fern and 'roo? The crosses just don't look so good - dark colour on dark colour...

Is this a modern union, or historical? If modern, I'd use this for the aborigines (it seems that they would): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Australian_Aboriginal_Flag.svg

hate to say it but... meh, nothing paticularily American about it. Looks like a generic socialist flag. Americans love their iconography, and they've built up a good supply they are unlikely to be discarded. Mayhap an eagle surrounding the cog/wheat trim?

Modern. I thought the same thing when it comes to the Aboriginal Flag, but the only flag that seems to work on top of another flag is the Union Jack.

This flag would certainly stand out during a winter blizzard!:eek: One question -- Why would the flag of a Jewish nation have a cross, which is a Christian symbol (even if many today might not view a cross on a flag as such), on its flag?

Reposting my Flag/Arms Request

I have base flag picked out, so I request a Coat of Arms for Croatia-Slovenia, (its a Croat dominated Federation that formed from the ashes of Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
It is the rival of the Serb dominated Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbia, Serb Republic of Bosnia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Vojvodina and Macedonia) and borders the Bosniak Republic (a buffer state), also as OTL Austria, Hungary and Italy

The flag of the French Federal Republic.

The traditional red stripe has been changed to a deeper red and a Fleur-de-lis added to the middle of the flag.
The three stars on the Fleur represent the three traditional parts of France; Metropolitan France, New France (Algeria, Tunisia & West Libya) and Magasy (Madagascar and the various OTL current and previous French island possesions).

Still, I would like to see it a bit more wavy, like in Lord Grattans flag (almost the exact same "wave" would be nice - It looks stormy and good :D)

I like it! I agree with Canadian about the eye making it feel a bit messy, but the colours are good and the positioning of everything makes it round up quite good I'd say!

About the persian flag;
I like it. Not too complicated yet it's inuque.
The blue does sting a bit in my eyes, but still, thumbs up!

Very creative ond, though it seems a bit bussy and disjointed to me. I do like it more then the earlier version. BTW, I came across one of your CoA's (I forget which one) while searching the wiki last night -- you do excellent work!
