Christian element which has led to the recent addition of the jewelled cross to the national flag. the wyvern is a symbol of strength and power of the rulers, descended from Loki, the Clever God (foriegners mistakenly call him the Trickster God...). Local theology conflates Loki and Christ into one "Son of God", which doesn't go well with Catholic or Orthodox christians to the south...
Oo, very nice. I presume that if I were to fly that flag outside my house, it wouldn't have the little fleurs-de-lis on the borders?
