TBH the low intake is asking for trouble with FOD (Foreign Object Debris) that may cripple the rear engine on landing or takeoff. Maybe stick the intake up top to avoid this?

Anyone want to take a shot at what a 5th gen follow on to the F-14 Tomcat would be? I mean a pure interceptor aircraft.

I'll throw on another AH twist.... The engine is a Continental inverted V knock-off of the Jumo 211 and DB-601. Continental gave up on the hyper engine and went for a more conventional V-12 block construction, including fuel injection and a two-stage, two-speed supercharger.
Hitler's Valkyries
This an ASB-esque scenario, where in late 1943, the Luftwaffe would form up an all female fighter squadron led Hanna Reitsch, which would be called Jadgeschwader 104 Reitsch or JG-104. The Allies would dub this squadron simply as either Goering's Amazons or Hitler's Valkyries depending on who you talk to. This unit was mostly stationed within Germany as part of the Defense of the Reich from the Allied Bombing Campaign, but they have seen some service on the Western Front during the ill-fated Bodenplatte Operation. The remaining pilots and their support personnel (including Reitsch) would end up surrendering to the Western Allies in 1945.

Now, I have finished this after a couple months, which is a Macchi MC. 205V Veltro as a new fighter for Zara.
I honestly can't think of a plausible one, maybe a TL where Kurt tank is butterflied so the Germans had spare BMW's?
On a related note, the plane looked more Japanese to me than German when I was done hence the markings.
I am now contemplating on whose alternate plane of that squadron to do next now.
