I am thinking of using the Kliper concept for one of the space programmes in my TL. The French built the first spaceplanes in my TL, are the main experts in the field, and one of the smaller programmes is cooperating with them to use their expertise for their own reusable spacecraft project. I can imagine an analogue of the Kliper could work as a low-cost, modular spaceplane/capsule vehicle for common orbital operations. Not sure if I'll go in that direction, but it could be worth a try.
As it came up in this thread, I thought I'd share this image of the never-launched N1-8L rocket, the first of the upgraded N1F series of rockets, that was planned to launch in August 1974 before Glushko killed the project. The model was built in Blender using the excellent reference book N1: For the Moon and Mars.
Revisiting a few old models from my Kolyma's Shadow timeline. President Rockefeller returns to the US aboard Air Force One following his summit meeting in Reykjavik with Soviet First Secretary Andrei Kirilenko, November 1977. This was the first major trip for the new Air Force One, with the previously used 707s being phased out in favour of the new, supersonic Boeing 2707s.
(Note that JFK never became president ITTL, and so never changed the colour scheme to the familiar blue and white. The livery instead remains close to that previously used, but with the black nose replaced with white to cope with friction heating at supersonic speeds).

just a pity the scale is wrong, what they are building here would be a 1:5 scale model at bestUSS Enterprise under construction:
The blue part is just primer for the paint mixed with rust-proofing.

If you built the original AMT model, and followed the colors on the box...
(BTW, they're asking $75 for a "used" copy of this model on eBay. Time to visit my dad.)
Wow pricey but it is a vintage kit and AMT did make nice models back in the day.75 quid? Soddin' 'ell!
I never built one of their car kits, just aircraft (mostly WWII planes) and IIRC they were molded in light grey which was a good base color for painting.
